in the coming season I am going to fulfill one of my biggest travel dreams: go on a cruise to Antarctica. Now I am facing the choice between two companies and the choice is hard.
And decided to go either with Gadventures in their Antarctica Classic (https://www.gadventures.com/trips/antarctica-classic/8340/) or Intrepid (https://www.intrepidtravel.com/ch/antarctica/best-antarctica-wildlife-explorer-ocean-endeavour-139303).
Both tours last 11 days, the ships seem to be quite similar in overall equipment and choices of leisure activities: fitness studio, sauna, restaurants, library. G Expeditions has 134 passengers and crew to passenger ratio of 1:10, intrepid is bigger with 200 passengers and 1:8 passengers to crew members ratio. They both write to provide lectures on board and similar excursions.
The prices are pretty much the same, the choice of the cabin is still good for the dates I would prefer. Also the dates are similar, so I can structure my trip around and it's not decisive.
I doubt there is anybody, who has done both and can compare directly (or maybe?), but would you have any hints on what to look at or keep in mind when choosing?
Any recommendations would be highly appreciated.
