On the 13th day of my 29-day European mega-trip, we depart Venice on board Trenitalia’s spectacular Frecciarossa 1000 high-speed train, which quickly whisks us to Florence at speeds up to 176 mph! (284 kph)

Once arriving, we’ll make the long climb up seemingly never-ending stairs to the top of the 376-foot Brunelleschi’s Dome for spectacular views of Florence! Afterwards, we’ll take a stroll to the Accademia Gallery to see Michelangelo’s impressive David sculpture, followed by a fun dinner at the energetic Mercato Centrale.
