Supercell Thunderstorm over Open Pit Mining 4K Timelapse
Experience the dramatic transformation of the sky as a thunderstorm front sweeps over the Hambach lignite (brown coal) open pit mine in this mesmerizing time lapse. In the pit you can see the bucket-wheel excavator “Bagger 293” — the world’s largest land machine — at work, with the RWE power plants Frimmersdorf, Neurath and Niederaußem in the background, which generate the electricity for Germany’s industrial Ruhr region. Captured on a hot day with temperatures of over 30°C, this footage showcases the stark weather contrast as a cold front moves in from Luxembourg / Belgium. Don’t miss this stunning display of nature’s raw power and human engineering!

Oh wow man this is a wonderful timelapse I love it😃👍❤️
It looks so beautiful!
Wow
WOW
crazy how you can even see the lightning bolts ⚡🌩
It seems like Bagger 293 is somehow broken down or not able to work properly, two white service vehicles are working there and Bagger 293 didnt put its lights on at night?
Bagger 293, towering at 96 meters, might appear small, but it gives you a glimpse of just how massive the excavation hole truly is! 🌟🏭
Great job ruining the video with this horrendous music
