Europe|Spring ’24: Day 12| St. Quentin to the UK| 12 days and 3500 miles to Sicily on a BMWR1200GSA
Greetings YouTube! Hit that subscribe button and join me as I take on the final push back to the UK. It’s been a fantastic tour: 3500 miles from the UK to Sicily and back in 12 days. There’s been sunshine, rain, mist, snow and erupting volcanoes… what more could you ask for?! Well… another tour, I guess and that’s just around the corner! Let’s ‘ave it!

Welcome homeππ
Always sad when a journey ends, but great news about the black forest trip. I've been meaning to ask about your riding trousers, what make are they
Very much enjoyed this series and looking forward to seeing the next one
Quick shifter is the best add on Iβve done to my gsa
Hope you had a good sea crossing and a safe trip home. Looking forward to your upcoming videos. Thanks again for bringing us along.
Brilliant! Really enjoyed following your journey. Keep up the good work π
Magic
Another great episode Steve . Always a bit of a downer coming to the end of a trip. But thereβs always the Black Forest to look forward toπ. The old tractor must have a few miles on her now , didnβt realise you covered 5000 on the Morocco trip.
Just planning mine for next year , but still undecided of riding on my own bike or doing a fly drive.
Hopefully the boy will enjoy the Black Forest , being only a newish rider myself I jumped right in and toured the Alps and Pyrenees 6 months after .. I was bike fitβ¦ ish and longest day was 300miles but that killed me π( was on a sports tourer ) Iβve come to my senses and bought the GSA march this year . 6,000 miles already with a 12hr 650 mile day and felt great π
Great trip and it was good too see you in abr magazine this month. π
Very enjoyable trip Steve, looking forward to your next venture. By the way i got the weight wrong on my k1600, not 420, but 340 kilos still a big bike but once you get moving no problem, done 2 up to Europe a few years ago, averaging 50 mpg that's steady riding. Safe riding.ππ
That's for all your videos steve they bring hours of enjoyment.
I'm just reading about your Morocco trip the ABR magazine 8 padge spread too π I did watch the series already.
Thanks Steve I have really enjoyed watching this series and I am now looking forward to watching the trip with your son. Hope you got home safely with no problems. If your not aware of him Million Dollar Bogan is worth watching and what he takes a Harley through is unbelievable. I can now catch up on your previous trips. Regards Ted
Welk done βοΈπ
Smashing series Steve. Really looking forward to the Black Forest tour. Good to see you in the new ABR mag too π
Thanks for the journey, look forward to seeing the Black Forest trip. Hopefully the good weather will continue for you.
Another enjoyable series Steve look forward to many more π
Brilliant series Steve, loved every moment of this. Iβm going to watch them again. Welcome back and βletβs av the next oneβ cheers and thanks for all you do.
Great trip Steve, looking forward to joining you on your next adventure.
The ferry experience looks a lot more spacious than DFDS Amsterdam route. Very civilised. I was hoping to see you ride off so I could see if it was RoRo ferry β΄οΈ or if had to back the bike and ride off the same way you came on? I guess you have shaken off the rain gods, finally. A nice episode to end the sojourn π
Great series, ride and stay safe!
Thanks for the ride!!!
As always, a cracker series, looking forward to the next one. Cheers from NZ!!
Well done Steve, looking forward to the next adventure. π
What a Marvellous journey, well done Steve π Absolutely Amazing π
Well done Steve , really enjoyed this series and youβre relaxing manner . Given me a few places to plan for in the future all being well . Look forward to future episodes and also your trip with your son . Going to catch up on the Moroccan Adventure shortly . Best wishes.ππ
Great tour Steve look forward to to the next tour in the Black Forest keep up the great vids π
Thats a lovely boat your heading back on Steve, why is it that some take a kanal train back and others a ferry is it the difference in cost ?
πππππ
Brilliant Steve, thoroughly enjoyed that trip, wish I was doing it rather than watching it.
Will you be making a video regarding the cost of this tour ie fuel, camping and accommodation.
P.S. can you tell us what kind of mileage you have on your bike
A great trip π Sicily looks like a great place to visitβ¦β¦ I do find the channel tunnel generally much quicker. Whenever Iβve arrived early Iβve invariably been slotted onto an earlier train so no hanging around for hours and of course a much quicker crossing. The only thing I prefer about the ferry is the ability to have a nice meal while you cross. Iβll look forward to your Black Forest trip π
Great series. Looking forward to seeing your next adventureπ
Yet another awesome trip under your belt matey look forward to black Forrest that will be special ATB Trev π
Thank you for taking us on this adventure, it was really enjoyable watching. Looking forward to seeing the upcoming tour with your son. Regards from northern Germany and a passionate R1200GS owner. Ride safe!
