The Rainbow Bridge is a suspension bridge which links northern Tokyo Bay between Shibaura Pier and artificial islet of Odaiba waterfront development in Minato, Tokyo, Japan. , is also a tourist attraction in its own right at night. Built in the 1990s, the structure has enabled this part of Tokyo Bay to flourish, and is surrounded by top tourist attractions.
It was built by Kawasaki Heavy Industries, with construction starting in 1987 and completed in 1993. The bridge is 798 metres long with a main span of 580 metres.
The bridge is limited in height by its proximity to Haneda Airport, the bridge has two decks: one for the expressway and one for the Yurikamome Line and Tokyo Prefectural Route 482.

How to reach :
Crossing the bridge on foot takes about 25 minutes and is free.To walk the bridge, you need to take an elevator up to the bridge span from the Shibaura side pier.
The bridge can be accessed by foot from Tamachi Station (JR East) or Shibaura-futō Station , the closest station on the mainland side on the Yurikamome Line which connects with JR lines and the Tokyo Metro at Shinbashi Station..

Rainbow Bridge hours of operation:
Summer (April to October): 9am to 9pm
Winter (November to March): 10am to 6pm
Note: When there are strong winds, the walkways may be closed. The walkways are also routinely closed on the third Monday of the month.
Nearest station: Shibaura-futō station (芝浦ふ頭駅)
Access: 5-7 minutes from Shibaura-futō station East exit
