215) GR5-10-11

The GR5 is an approximately 700-kilometre long hiking trail including 40 000 meters of ascent and traversing the heart of the French Alps from Lac Léman (aka Lake Geneva) in the north of France to the Mediterranean Sea in the south. It is one of the world’s most spectacular hiking trails. I will solo hike this trail over several weeks.

Day 10 – July 12 – 0 KMS – Auberge de Valezan

I thought about at least doing the 8 kilometres to the end of stage nine to avoid saying that I took another zero day, but why? This is my vacation. I can do as I like!

Day 11 – July 13 – 25 KMS – 10 HRS
194 KMS TOTAL
Start: 8:14 AM, Auberge de Valezan
End: 6:21 PM, Refuge d’Entre-le-Lac

Life is good! The world is beautiful! I am so thankful to be here!

  1. You never cease to amaze me! That is some tough looking terrain yet you glide thru it like it was nothing! So glad you took a Zero Day to get things done instead of hiking thru that downpour! ❤❤

  2. I really enjoy the valleys when you're surrounded by the mountains but still have big views. … I also like the marmots. They're adorable little mountain dwellers. Cheers!
