Eating Our Way Around the Rotterdam Markthal (Q & A)
Rotterdam has the biggest food and market hall we have seen. There are around 100 differnet food stalls and restaurants at the Markthal in Rotterdam, just about an hour away from our home in Amsterdam.
We have eaten all over The Netherlands on this channel, but this day was a real highlight, as we had some very tasty food and took some time to answer some of the many questions we have gotten about us and our channel.
Thanks for watching, we appreciate your support and all the “likes” and “subscribes”!

โผ ABOUT US โผ
We are Nate and Katrina, two Americans living in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and traveling as much as we can to see what there is to see! Call us expats, immigrants, whatever… just call us already.
We balance work life with travel… as best we can! We would love to visit every country in Europe while we live here, and definitely keep a list of our global โmust visitโ destinations.
We try to give you a true view of us and how we travel and explore the world. Lots of food, definitely some jokes, and probably some swearingโฆ. Hope you enjoy taking these trips with us!

Nate you should married her๐ฅ๐
Probably for the "real" Dutch food you will have to be invited by an old fashioned Dutch family to enjoy the lovely "soul" food we have here! ๐
Glacรฉ koeken are straight from hell!!! YUK!!!
Tip: poffertjes spinkled with Tia Maria or Grande Maria!!! That's to die for!!!
Tip for you Nate: we're talking about a winter dish… Broeder met Zeeuwse keukenstroop! You're gonna love it!!! Or just a plain pannekoek with bacon and cheese!
Another tip for the winter: a slice of balkenbrij on your slice of bread! Flip that slice of balkenbrij in a baking pan a couple of times untill it becomes crispy…. You're gonna love it!!!
Don't forget to visit the other countries and special municipality, Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Sint Maarten, Saba and Sint Eustatius.
Try also one star restaurant Amarone in Rotterdam center. Itโs a merger of French and Japanese cuisineโฆ( my son works there).
Try quark on rins apple stroop sand-witch of cheese / rins apple stroop sand-witch
My favourite food in the Netherlands is by far the Indonesian rice table. Yum

Congrats on passing 10,000 subscribers. I was a bit surprised when you said that. I have been a subscriber for a long time and thought for sure you were WAY past that milestone. So, to all you creepers ๐, SUBSCRIBE!
Every year when I "go back" to visit my brothers, we always hit this market because I used to work at De Bijenkorf for 12 years in a range of departments there. It used to be one huge open space with tram tracks going. Even though I make most of the food/snacks here in America, I absolutely go berserk on kroketjes, patat met, haring, etc. Can't beat the real thing. (well, I can with de kroketjes but that's another story altogether. One thing I can state is that I use Escoffier's bone broth recipe for my beef kroketjes as the base for the roux.
Nate, sometimes I think you've become more Dutch than you think. At least, every now and then you complain like a Dutchman. Speaking of donating, I was just thinking about asking you for money because watching those videos takes quite a bit of time. And time is money. Seriously, stay independent and leave money out of it. I know your hobby is vlogging. Both of you are nowhere if you can't vlog. ๐

If you like pinball and Rotterdam….visit the Dutch Pinball Museum…more then enough to get you're groove on ๐
Love this Q&A video. โค๏ธ๐
Stop eating sweets and snacks and eat some decent Dutch seafood like plaice (!!), mussels, oysters or dutch shrimp salad.
very nice video again, really enjoyed it, thank you very much again, greetings from Limburg
๐๐๐ป Love the food Yes ๐๐ป๐
As always: great video. People who are new here I suggest go watch your older vlogs. They are not only funny, you might learn something. Like in this one: I had no idea there were 100 different food stalls in this Market Hall? And some of the things you tried I had never heard of. You both are somewhat particular when it comes to food but are not at all affraid to try something new. And then the amount of things you can eat! Respect. I enjoyed the Q&A. Some viewers are very curious about personal stuff! I think you never expected that when you started this busi..expensive hobby! Lets hope it's not only your work that keeps you here. By now you should know that The Netherlands is the best country in the world. On to the next 10.000!
Congrats on your 10K subscribers!
It's well deserved!
I really don't understand why people watch your videos but don't subscribe.
You two are amazing and hilarious!
But after so many years in the Netherlands, it's time to learn to speak Dutch. ๐
ROFL: "I am tied to this guy" [best good marriage argument ever]! LOVE you Americans! Welcome to "THE Netherlands! ๐

I'm from Rotterdam and I agree that the "Markthal" building is iconic. But foodwise, it's a tourist trap, twice as expensive as outside of the building.
Nate..you are so Dutch..
