How the ultra wealthy travel in Paris

Paris – the city of lights, of love, and of luxury. Over 30 million tourists touch down in the French capital each year, but only a select few see the high-octane opulence that Paris can offer.

CNBC’s ‘First Class’ reveals the city as only the super-rich get to experience it, from the most expensive suites and chateaus to private yachts, fine dining and shopping.

  1. why dont you just make it clear that “$5 1:58 0 000 a night is NOT just a room, but the presidential suite?

the night only costs $1-2000/ night

  2. Is this meant to contribute to public discourse by highlighting extreme inequality that a night at a hotel is beyond the annual, or lifetime earnings, of most people in the world depending where youre at. Id love to know what countries guests are from and the GINI coefficient to understand where the Ultra Wealthy of Paris come from and whether they made their money through contribution, luck, or grift.

  3. What I learned is that I want to be a celebrity. You have all that money to spend without the responsibility of leading a country.

  4. Such a beautiful façade. Not many people know that this country is going to hell… Especially the people that can afford this luxury, the horrors are hidden from them.

  5. The places for the ultra rich is only a hype. I won't go to Paris to eat haute cuisine or sleep in soft cusions. I would go to Paris to see the place, the outside ambience. All the luxuries that are sold can be found anywhere else in the world where there is tourism and whatnot. But you cannot see the grand view of the real Eiffel Tower anywhere else, and that's what adventurers go to see, not some overblended milk with a touch of asparagus.

  6. Do I really care how the ultra wealthy travel in Paris? I am not in that group of people and will never be. If its about how the average person travels then you are talking and I may learn something about it.

  7. Honestly this place makes me feel like I don't belong there even if I had the money. It comes off snobby and elite instead of warm and welcoming like Japan.
