Basilique du Sacré-Cœur, which has an eclectic architect inspired by Roman architecture, Byzantine architecture, Saint-Front de Périgueux Cathedral and Hagia Sophia, has become an architectural example for other churches built in the 20th century.
Since the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur is a place of pilgrimage, pilgrims come from all corners of the world. Basilique du Sacré-Cœur, with free entrance, is open every day from 06:00 to 23:30.
The large Organs of the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur were manufactured by the famous French organist Aristide Cavaillé-Coll in 1898 for the castle of the Baron Espée. These organs are shown as technological marvels.

After the Baron’s death, the Organs were sent to the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur. It was presented by Charles-Marie Widor, Marcel Dupré and Abel Decaux in a ceremony on 16 October 1919.
