Little About Us*
Welcome to our channel! We are Liam and Janine, a husband and wife duo with a passion for travelling and living in a camper van. Over the years, we’ve embraced the van life, starting with vanlife in the UK with a Ford Transit camper van conversion and then upgrading to a Citroen Relay (luton) removals van campervan conversion. We absolutely love the freedom and adventure that comes with being a van life couple.
Following this we travelled to India, and now we are in a micro camper doing van life Europe

  1. Just don't go to Italy, not even on a package tour, they make a lot from tourism, you don't need scams, the place is full of scammers !
    Gaz UK.

  2. They do that on the Pontina near Rome. I had a motorbike do it to me. But I had stayed in the same lane so there was no way it happened. I have bought a camera that's integrated into the rearview mirror, as I was a lone woman, and a foreigner, driving abroad I knew that in the case of an accident any local would believe that I was in the wrong.

  3. people must be stupid to fall for that kind of scam. if you dont know youve hit something you either looking at your phone to much or just a shit driver! so silly

  4. In 2021 driving in Italy we had an incident of being accused of breaking someone’s wing mirror. When we stopped and he saw we had a dash cam he quickly backed down, it all seemed odd at the time, couldn’t put our finger on it, after hearing Liam talking about a scam I think it probably was.

  5. Scam Hi you two, I had this happen in Northern Italy a couple of years ago, I got stung for 200 euros, I was driving on my own, it's was really intiminating.

  6. It happened to me TWICE!!! One year and then again the next. I didn't stop but they did do damage to my van. I will never go to Italy again!!!!

  7. The gas stoves work really well. I’ve had one for more than 20 years that I use to boil kettles etc when I’m marshalling on rallies. I’ve just ordered a collapsible windshield to use with it. The gas canisters are cheap and last well.

  8. Very informative video, I have learned a lot from you. I am planning my own trip through Europe to the north of Italy. The only difference is I travel solo and live in the back of a bmw 4 series.

  9. Guys, what fantastic content and information you shared with us over the last few months. You two ooze adventure and you certainly know how to get the most out of your days. Looking forward to seeing what you have planned next. Tske care Howard x

  10. This happened to me last year in my motorhome driving on my own. A car in front was going so slowly so I overtook. They then flashed me to pull over which I did and they said I had smashed their wing mirror. I just stood my ground saying I hadn’t hit them and they gave up in the end thankfully drove off. I hadn’t realised it was such a big scam.

  11. Scam story starts at about 6:00. Someone throws a stone or uses a metal rod to damage your van while driving, pretends you've damaged their car, then try to take you to a cash point.

  12. When we returned to our car in a parking lot I noticed that there was someone sitting in the car parked in front of us, waiting. As soon as my friend started the car that person started his and drove backwards to ram us. My friend had superb reaction and avoided it, but you can imagine what would have happened next.
A few days later in another city we found our car with smashed side window and our stuff stolen. F Italy!

  13. So excited for the news! Grateful for all the scammer advice too as we’re hoping to hit Europe when my lad finishes college. It’s fair intimidating but info like this is golden. Safe travels guys 💖✨

  14. Keep going guys. Best doing it whilst your young, as the way things are going you are best carving your own life style out and make your own money etc. Good luck.

  15. Another scam for van lifers and caravans is that, they pull in front of you forcing you to stop, at which point they show a large piece of metal saying it fell off your vehicle and has damaged their vehicle and demand instant cash.

  16. You have to watch your gas canisters when you buy them. Originally 250 but now many are only filled to 227 and feels like it runs out fast. I ALWAYS use a lid because it saves so much gas. ALSO, my new one burns through more butane than my old one. The new one is very fast though. It took me a while to realize that the new one has way higher BTUs. Mixed blessing.

  17. Sorry to tell you but it is a scam that it has been around for ages. Even some italian people got duped .It is not meant to target foreigner van lifers per se.

  18. If anyone tried any of the scams mentioned in the video & comments on me… I'd tell them Straight out… Oh you wanna play that game do ya?… Okay then… & whip out my phone & start recording them from the get go & tell them Straight Away… I Know Exactly What You're About & Call the Police & actually Report them!… Record their vehicle number plate too!… Then u have All the Info you need for the police….then as you mentioned… Tell them "Come on then… Let's go to the police station! “… AND I'd tell them… Unless They Want to be Publicly humiliated by sharing that video across Social media… Then They'd better Start Running! 🤣🏃

Watch out Scammers… 👀… Comin for You! 👊😂👏🥳🤣

Oh! … Now I'm seeing lots of people with their Super-Capes at the ready! … Coz there's nothing better than Playing a Scammer at their own game! 🦸😉👊

  19. What a horrible thing for people too do to other road users. Can I ask Liam & Janine what is the internet you use again , (the one that says you are in a different place from where you actually are)I know you have said it a couple of times? 🤔🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
