We set off on our trip, but unfortunately we get off to a very bad start, when we hit a pothole and have some damage with a huge clean up.
Our Portugal trip sort of starts here, but before we leave the UK, we try out a rally at a Steam festival in Kent.
We are Corrin and Paul and with our two dogs (Pippa and Dolly) we have travelled to 23 countries in Europe in our 13 year old motorhome.

Why have you taken your first fuel fill up out of your budget. That payment was for fuel you had already used. Fill up on your return and add that to the budget instead. See, just saved you £80. Use your video evidence to claim off the council for the glass. Good luck for the rest of your trip. We will be doing the N2 next month.
Hope you're not still finding glass everywhere. Thanks for the birthday shout out for Ray was a lovely surprise for him. We are on our first trip away learning as we go. Looking forward to following your budget trip

Great video the steam rally look amazing.We are newly retired and living on our NHS and social services pensions so have a tight budget, we had an amazing 7 week French trip in our camper and spent just over £2,300 and we lived well.Looking forward to the Portugal vlogs as we are planning 3 months away in the New year x
Hi guys just watched your latest blog when your shattered my thoughts on what caused that is that when you removed your oven it's allowed the whole unit to flex under stress whilst driving and caused the glass to shattered just my thought's ?

I think you mentioned a switch to use the solar panels on the roof with a powerbank – was that a transfer switch that you fitted before the solar wires goes into the MPPT, for the leisure batteries, then a wire to the powerbank? Fancy that screen breaking. We had the glass on the hob break and the windscreen twice abroad. Not nice and yes you will find glass for ever in places you didnt know existed. Corrin where is your wedding ring??

Your trip to Portugal is following a similar route to one I have planned, (once I’ve got my MoHo) early next year. So I’ll shall be most interested to see how you do with your £3000 budget.

Love the budget concept. We just returned from 25 days in Europe £2,500 and I thought we were being good haha. Half of that was campsite fees though. Have a wonderful trip. Love your videos.

We look forward with interest to watching this trip. By coincidence we have a £3000 budget for a trip through France and Spain to Portugal over 2 months from mid September. Apart from the exploding glass partition, hopeful you will have a fantastic trip.

Honestly! The lengths you’ll go to get views 😂😂😂 Seriously, OMG!!! How scary! Thank goodness Wilf was okay ❤ We had our shower room sink surround crack on a bad bump a couple of years ago, but that glass was everywhere 😱 Loved the steam rally. We took our G-Kids to one a few weeks ago. Fab! Safe travels 🚍☀️
Great video guys 😀 hopefully we will pick up some tips keeping the costs down 🤞 we travel like you guys due to the fact that we get more holidays than most having the van so totally have to budget to get as many in as possible 😂 we are just back from the Uists and Barra and managed a week for £370 so now we can head back up to Lewis and Harris in 3 weeks. Hope wilf and the girls are ok they must have got a fright when the glass shattered xx
