  1. We appreciate your written commentary on the very recent history of Egypt however there might be different points of view on the ouster of Muhammad Morsi yet this is what happened there nevertheless ancient human history without Egypt is like a trunk without face and skull!

  5. Hmmm surprised to find it's the most populous city in Africa…wonder why I thought that was Lagos. I was there in 1996 on a flight stop over from Lagos to London, worst travel experience I've ever experienced, as black people on the flight, at the airport, and in Cairo were treated appallingly!!! Long story and not forgotten. I was meant to visit the pyramids but never got to, and with a myriad of terrible things, I swore I'd never go back to Egypt. Ludo I'm interested in knowing what time of the day it was that you did this walking tour, to gauge the population? Couldn't help but feel for the police cramped in those trucks in that heat!

  6. This late evening walk had a comfortable, relaxed, non-threatening feel to it. Seeing families out with children the presence of police added to a sense of safety. The streets and sidewalks are mostly clean with very little trash and litter. Now I feel better about Cairo. Ludo I appreciate that you used the lighting from store fronts, car headlights, street lights and other outdoor lights to full advantage to illuminate the video. Because of that my total immersive experience was boosted, especially when crossing the busy streets. It did not appear to be any cooler and/or the humidity level remained high even after sunset, based how much you were perspiring. I was surprised you didn't stop for a cold refreshing drink.
