Even for a basic one-way journey from a regional city in the UK to a city on the continent using just the bare minimum three trains (for example Manchester to Frankfurt which is Avanti on one side then Eurostar then ICE on the other side), a basic 4-day pass plus Eurostar passholder reservation fees will be cheaper. You picked a very fun route through the British Isles BTW. Also, St Pancras itself also has a good variety domestic services if you fancy going to Nottingham or Sheffield, for example.
