Annecy is a quaint little town in the Haute-Savoie region of South-eastern France. Walking around Annecy old town is really a visual delight. With its charming canals lined by flower boxes, its small lovely bridges and beautiful coloured houses, Annecy carries really well its nickname, “Venice of the Alps”.

We travelled to Annecy during the month of August.

The distance between Annecy and Geneva airport is about 45 minutes drive by car.

We stayed in Saint-Julien-en-Genevois and drove to Annecy which was around 35 minutes by car.
