I am very curious about Virgin Cruises; thanks for the review! The sled ride in Madeira looks like a blast, but I can see how some guy broke his arm. (Probably, an A&E is better for that than the bog, though.) As an aside, I had no idea living statues were a thing until I saw Hot Fuzz.

I did the tobogan ride in the mid 80's when I was about 16. It was brilliant, will never forget it. I doubt I would have the courage to do it now!
Ahh Fraser…. From previous chats you know how long I have been waiting to see you do this…. Can’t believe you did it when you met someone who had broken their arm. It looked so much fun and the photo you bought was ace.

Hi Fraser, another very good video. The timescales of release get me a bit confused as it is August 2024 and this was filmed in November 2023! You will have been on loads of other trips by now. Seeing Funchal brought back memories of when I was on a walking holiday there – some years ago! We stayed at the Pestana Casino hotel high up above the harbour, and could see the any cruise ship that arrived below. This was February and the weather can and did change. We were walking the Levadas, and it was sunny, then another time rained all day, then another day up in the mountains so cold. I remember we stopped at a almost hut like building quite isolated, but with a fire and hot local alcoholic drink that you could feel the warmth as you sipped it and it went down! Having a casino too many late hours were spent in there and the nightclub, as staying in the hotel meant it was free entry. The walking and cold got rid of the cobwebs next day! Looking forward to seeing how you enjoyed the Atlantic!

Hi Fraser I’ve returned from my cruise on carnival legend around the British isles the ship had so many Americans on board it felt like I was cruising in America had a wonderful time though,I’ve booked to go on p&o azura to the canneries and Madeira February next year the toboggan looks scary ,great vlog as always love watching what you do 😻
