Bretagne (France): a tour in the Morbihan & Ille-et-Villaine
The Golf of the Morbihan turned out to be a unique destination. Several villages were visited there starting with Vannes with its medieval walls, standing high next to a beautiful garden. A boat ride was needed to access the second destination which is Ile-aux-Moines. Locmariaquer’s oyster festival was missed minutes flat.
Auray had a picturesque port and it’s a hidden gem I truly loved exploring.
We then moved to a different department, still in Bretagne (Brittany) in English. Vitré & Fougères are wonderful medieval cities. While the first has a preserved castle, the second has one of Europe’s largest medieval castles!
Stay till the end to discover one unique destination!
