It’s the start of rainy season here in Japan, which means one particular flower is blooming… Hydrangea!!! I took a walk to Kawagoe Hachimangu Shrine (Kawagoe is less than one hour away by train from Shinjuku) to find some full-bloom hydrangea (紫陽花)! Let’s walk with me…

WELCOME TO OMUNOMU

Hello, I’m Julie. I was born in Indonesia, grew up in Australia and now I’m living in Kawagoe, Japan. If you love Japan, food, cute things, travel, or stationery, let’s be friends! Omunomu comes from the onomatopoeia “omnom” (the sound you make when munching on your food), but with the Japanese pronunciation to make it cuter. My life revolves around food, so I thought this is very apt, lol.
