I was in indonesia, havent been to other sea countries yet but i was doing fine. not everything is perfect.
In my honest opinion a lot of westerners coming here come with a weak mindset in the sense of wanting to 'escape' the west, like they just want an easy way out from the exaggerated problems they have. Everything takes work e.g. learning the language, making money/connections, etc. Its a perfect place for vacation tho

A pretty white woman in SEA has a massive disadvantage. White guys will ignore them and rich asian guys are already married. So there is no hope in SEA for a white woman. Very tough. Eastern Europe, yes its cheaper and better weather, but its also less developed. It's also full of hot poor white women where 30 is considered old. So it's tough competition for a woman who grew up in the west. If I was a hot white woman I would stay in the west and milk it for all I can get. I'm a divorced overweight EE guy with a western wallet and spend my time between EE and SEA and I dont know any women over 29. As mirror opposite of Alina, I would suggest she goes to a very rich western country, and I predict she will after a 18 months in Eastern Europe.

Japan is a better place to live than south east asia: safe, relatively cheap, people mind their own business, amazing food, great quality of service, lots of nature

Hi, I have lived in italy (Milan, for years), Sgp, KL, Pattaya, Seoul, Yanbu (Saudi Arabia), LA, London, North England and yes, Vybourg, Russia. I have to say, you are correct. In every country there are pluses and minuses, subject to your culture, mentality, custome etc and there is NO one place perfect! I found myself living back in my country, Jakarta, Indonesia, and am very happy because there's everything here. Yes, I do not enjoy the humidity, the unability to stroll in the street and stopping at side street cafe and drinking my prosecco or sprits or wine witn my meal every time, but I LOVE living here in Indonesia. Malls, selections of food, services, gentility,, slow=paced relaed life, being spoiled ( I can order anything at beck and call even 24 hours and it's delievered!) It's the best here! So, there! That's my take based on my experiences of having been blessed to live in various countries.
Europe is broke, Asia is way better.
Visiting a country is one thing, staying permanently is another.
But to say that Philippines and Thailand are safe…. you really should do more research.
The fees for permanent residency in Singapore, or other ASEAN countries, is the price of safety.

Two more years I'll moving to the Philippines, in BGC, the most modern city, i bought a condo there and I am really amaze with that place, I feel I was in USA when I spent my time there, everyone speaks English and the locals are so nice. I've been in Europe and I stayed there for 3months and so expensive.
I'm also Canadian living in Tbilisi and I love the weather here, yes they have winter here but it's nothing like Canadian winters and it's a nice break from the hot summer's here and of course it's inexpensive to live here as well.
