  1. There are some really beautiful beaches around the island, and you can easily reach them by minibus. Plus, Bozcaada is famous for its wines, so don't forget to visit the local wineries

  2. Hey Gabe,

I've been following you on YouTube for years now, and I have to say that you continue to be a huge inspiration to me. Thanks for that. My next adventure will be to Greece, where I'm planning to visit the ancient sites like the Oracle of Delphi and the Thermopylae, and really dive into the history. I'm really looking forward to it.

I wish you a great time in Turkey and will keep following your journey with great interest. Sending you warm greetings from Germany.

    Best regards,
    Michael

  3. Gabriel your new hair style looks great and suits you very well. Your professionalism and enthusiasm always comes through in your videos and is greatly appreciated. You are a History Professor in disguise. 👍🏻😎🇨🇦

  4. 08:58 "kalimera" in the sign..The owner is probably one of the 20-25 Greeks living until today in the island (whereas in Imbros live about 700 Greeks).Added to the above remark, the musical instrument that is heard in the restaurant is the greek "bouzouki".There seems to be something in the air that still exudes a greek color and vibe.

  5. Hi dear Gabriel. I like your content so I'd like to contribute if I can. 200 years ago, there was no Turkey, no Greece or any other country in the region as we know them today. Nationalism as an idea, shaped human thinking only 100 years after French revolution arrived into Balkans. Before that, people who speak different languages, believe in different religions, write in their alphabets, and could live together side by side peacefully within empires. Almost everybody could speak several languages. Those empires did not intervene in daily lives of common people. Every society had their own schools or institutions. Then, the idea of nation state emerged, and since then we live in this modern environment, so we can not think of those days and lives. Greeks and Turks share very long and common history. We like the same food, have similar music, evevn same gestures. Its all similar in Balkans in general. But everybody is very keen on labeling things as this is greek, this albanian, this is is this. We only focus on differances, because our modern education leads us this way. Bozcada had suffered this modern way of thinking badly in history. But you, as a traveller, can see similarities, rather than diffrences, and stop labeling things with rather new nationalities. Best regards

  6. Enjoy your tubes but enjoy more when u point camera at where you are going not always on you especially when you are talking about past thing, makes it frustrating and loose interest or fast forward, too bad cause you r always doing travelling to interesting places.

  7. Sadly I was put off of,”Homer”,in 9th grade because the book of poems,”The Oddesy”, was a bit too much for my ninth grade brain to grasp. Got thrown out of English class/9th grade first week.

  8. A piece of constructive criticism Gabriel when you approach and show an amazing view…take a chill and allow all the viewers to soak in it. Love Gabriel Traveler.

  9. Loving the Turkish Aegean island experience. How do you compare the coastal/beach locations in Turkey with the Greek ones? I have noticed a big difference in overall culture, pace of life and tourism even going from Kos to Bodrum or Rhodes to Marmaris. They both provide the best Mediterranean experiences I think, with the overcrowding and price hikes in Spain, Italy and Croatia..

  10. Gabe, how about a hot chicken soup with lots of lemon for dinner to fix the cold. I'm pretty sure Turks have/cook well the chicken. Also a cup of hot (turkish) tea with lemon, local honey or propolis (if turks know the greek word of propolis, maybe it's bee-glue in English).
    Super nice haircut!
