The ULTIMATE day trip to BANFF, CANADA π¨π¦ – Can you survive BANFF on a BUDGET?
In this weeks travel vlog, we make a day trip to Banff, Canada to see if it’s possible to survive Banff on a budget.
After a two hour shuttle bus ride from Calgary, we arrive bright and early to start our day of exploring. Since it’s only 9AM, we decided we should start our day with some breakfast. First, we visit a local coffee and bakery chain, Wild Flour. We grabbed ourselves a Dandelion & Mushroom latte, and ham and cheese croissant. We also decided to grab one more breakfast item at a different cafe, Banff National Perk. Here we grabbed a sausage, egg, and cheese wrap.
After finishing our breakfast, we still have a few hours to fill before our bus to Lake Louise. We decided to explore Banff Town by foot, making our way towards Bow Falls Trails. We took a walk along to Bow River, admiring the beautiful nature along the way. We soon arrived at Bow Falls, where we took a quick break to enjoy the wonderful scenery.
Next, we head back to Banff town, where we stopped by The Fudgery for some sweet treats. We also visit a small shop, called To Go Arashi, where we purchased some sushi for later. After making our purchase, we found ourself a picnic table, where we snacked on a peanut coated caramel apple, and a dark chocolate snail.
After finishing our snacks, it was finally time to grab the 8X bus to Lake Louise. After an hour long bus ride, we arrived at our destination. Blown away by the incredible nature, we took our time admiring the turquoise waters, and the incredible view of the Rocky Mountains. We decided this was the perfect backdrop to try our sushi, a Tuna, Mayo & Avocado Roll, which we purchased earlier in the day.
After this quick break, we continued on foot towards Lake Louise Village. It is here that we waited for our Popa Car ride, which took us back to Banff Town for some dinner.
For dinner, we decided on a restaurant called Eddie Burger & Bar. We purchased a Rocky Mountain Burger, made of Elk meat, and a poutine. The perfect way to end this day trip!

Thanks for this video. It made me miss where I grew up. I spent hours caving and climbing almost every weekend in the Rockies. Iβm East Coast now so instead of mountains, I have oceans
We've always wanted to visit Banff, but we weren't really sure how we were gonna swing it considering the crazy hotel prices there. We ended up having such a great time there, even if it was only for a day. Hopefully, we can go back at some point and explore some more! Let us know in the comments, which area in Banff you like the most! Thanks for watching and make sure to subscribe because there will be more Canadian content coming soon! π – Brandon & Anja
Did you end up watching that movie?
$15 for a sandwich ends the story. That is ridiculous expense for what you are getting.
Those prices are bone rattling!
We will be in Banff next Tuesday. Cannot wait!!! The day in Banff and then 2 nights in the Fairmont Lake Louise!!!
Wonderful tour! Fantastic ideas how to save money! How scary was walking on the path in the woods to the town?! π»
Great video! We're planning a trip to Banff and your video was super helpful. Any other tips or things you would do differently?
