Qatar: Inside the Land of Oil, Football and Unbelievable Luxury | Tech, Money, Shopping

You probably know Qatar as one of the wealthiest countries in the world, with a futuristic skyline, grand shopping malls, and advanced tech like self-driving subways and bus stops with air con. Oh, and the World Cup. But beyond the luxury and smart city developments, there’s a stark contrast between rich and poor, freedom and restrictions. In this video, we’ll explore the rich architecture of Doha, the nearly empty streets of Lusail, and the lives of locals and expats in a country where tradition meets cutting-edge innovation. Join me on this journey through a land of contrasts, from luxury cars to migrant workers’ rights.

  1. 6:20 blablabla… cause the people that could afford to live there do not exist in those numbers… and quite often they create their own little refugium… and not use the one some rich dude build for them… they rushed building all this in hopes of PURE luck … and lets be honest … all these arab megaprojects are not very enticing …. mostly because of freedom reasons as silly as it sounds … civil rights are not so important in those countrys … my dad was iraqi … he fleed in the 70s also because of this … then he went back in the late 90s only to see that his running away was good for ALL his life ( last iraqi war started back then ) …and then he came back to germany

  2. There is so much misinformation in this video. The sections videoed and discussed do not make sense. I have lived in Qatar for now 13 years and I know Qatar still has ways to go but this presentation was not good.

  3. I am on the half of video and i need to leave comment-full supermarkets with various food and items but empty with customers…Where all these food will finish ??!!And they talk about green sustainability & smart cities ??

  4. I really enjoyed watching. As ussually you gave us great video with a lot of interesting facts. The museum is masterpiece of today modern architecture but poor falcon tied up on the scorching sun ruined everything.Srap the whole luxory to the core of barbaric nature😢.
