What a $1800 Japan Summer Vacation is like

This is what a $1800 Japanese Summer Vacation is like staying 1 Hour away from Tokyo in the Atami area. This is one of my go-to Japan summer getaway spots. This beautiful Japanese seaside gem is one of the easiest ways to get away from Tokyo’s hectic pace, and we’re doing this trip like a Typical Japanese Summer Vacation with fireworks, kaiseki style ryokan dining, heavenly seafood, a beach day and onsen hot springs, but of course in our own style. After you step off the train at Atami station, you’re greeted by a lively shopping street packed with restaurants, souvenir shops, and an assortment of street food hitters. And before going to our hotel, we decided to get some lunch at the shopping street. It gets rather busy on weekends so we recommend going on the weekdays to beat the crowds…but since we’re doing the Japanese summer Firework experience, it has to happen on the weekend…and it’s gonna happen with all these people. Our hotel for this trip is actually 2 stations away from Atami station and then a 10 minute walk from when you arrive which was perfect for us as we wanted to have an even quieter and calming Japan countryside experience.

  1. I vacationed in Scandinavia often when I lived in Germany. Saunas are practically a religion in Sweden and Finland. Every house has one. As for the food, it is as much fish as you would expect, except that it is a bit… "different." The Japanese love fresh fish and across Scandinavia they love Hakarl (Iceland), Lutefisk (Norway), and Surstromming (Sweden/Finland). None of these can be characterized as fresh. But, different countries, different food traditions. I stick to the ham and meatballs. LOL. Also, it is every bit as clean and hospitable as Japan. Or… it used to be until the last few years.

  2. Vendo seus vídeos eu percebo o quanto o Brasil é lindo, pena que a falta de cultura acabou com o país. Aqui é melhor que todos outros países tinha tudo pra ser perfeito!

  3. One of the not to do in an onsen, is to let your hair touch the onsen water. So putting your head into the onsen is a NO NO. Oh Paolo I thought you should already know that.

  4. Maiko losing her voice from telling Wolfy off its so relatable 😂😂😂 it gets better as they get older ! It's good that he's being disciplined. Its hard but you guys got this 👍🏾 ❤

  5. Hi Paolo, I love your videos. especially the tours and day in the life videos. I have learned a lot from your videos. That said, I have a few video ideas for you.
    – What does a Japanese Hardware store look like?
    – What does a Japanese Hobby or Art stone look like?
    – What does Mail delivery look like in Japan? Do you have letter carriers?
    – I have heard about how Japanese people sort their recyclables from trash, how does all this sorting get collected?
    – What does a Japanese Police Station look like?

Thank you for your consistency in publishing on this channel. It’s really fun to have watched your channel grow over the years. Please keep up the good work. Thank you.

  6. Well in my country we are very noisy 😂😂😂 our summers in this part of the world can be overwhelming jajajajaj we are Latinos , tons of food, beer, lots of music 🎉🎉🎉

  7. Hello paolo, please make a video series about best foods, from cheap street vendor to great restaurant and classifies it to each prefecture, i think it will be interesting! Thankyou ❤

  8. I’m so furious about the cost of living here in Israel. 1800 dollars will get you close to nothin for a family of four vacation. Japan looks like a good solution. Maybe next summer 😅

  9. Love your videos showing Japan but I do not fancy seeing your kid. Especially those irritating naughty moments, no point showing. Cut it out. Keep the kiddos out. This is not some parenting or kids channel.
