Hiking the Verdon Gorge: A Surreal Color Palette

I’m pretty sure the colors on this hike were fake.

Join me on the Col de Plein Voir and Col de l’Ane trail to see the stunning views of the Verdon Gorge. I am not quite sure I can truly express how it felt after climbing over 1000 feet to come around a corner and see the Verdon Gorge laid out before me. Heart stopping. Awe inspiring.

I would describe Col de Plein Voir and Col de l’Ane trail as a fun trail with beautiful views, a little bit of scrambling, and a chance to see a couple of waterfalls. This 4.9-mile loop offers panoramic vistas of the region’s rugged beauty, including the iconic Gorges du Verdon and Lac de Sainte-Croix.

As always, stay hydrated, be smart, and go explore those trails!
