Welcome to Chisinau, the capital of the republic of Moldova.

Are first stop was the Ethnographic Museum which is the oldest museum in the country founded in 1905. The museum takes you through a tour of the flora and fauna history in Moldova. The building has two floors and is one of the most visited attractions in Chisinau.

Next up we head to the monument of the mourning mother. It’s a memorial dedicated to the soldiers who fell during the Afghanistan war of 1979-1989.

For lunch we headed to La Plancinte to try some local Moldavian cuisine. We tried vegetables, soups, delicious sausages and local Moldavian wine.

We then headed to the Eternitate Memorial which is dedicated to the hero’s who fell during WWII. The five guns statue reminds us of each year during that war.

In the center of Chisinau is the Stefan cel Mare Central Park, it’s named after Steven the Great and Saint. The park has the oldest monument, oldest fountain and the park has free Wifi.

Lastly, we attended the wine festival! The first weekend of every October, Chisinau hosts the festival in order to show the world that they are a wine destination. It was an awesome day!
