Yes, it was the craziest experience of my life!! I went with a bunch of friends to this beautiful island in the middle of nowhere.

I was struck by how firm this island has been in the past. There is hardly anything modern. Very often the island had a blackout and sometimes there was no hot water and forget the wifi or even a telephone line.
Most of the restaurants are run by locals and the cuisine is typically Filipino.
I spent 1 week in El Nido, after which we had to move to another island not far away, Coron island where we would have spent the last 7 days before returning to China. Yes, I live in Shanghai, China!

Before leaving El Nido, a storm hit the island and there was no aircraft or boats available to move around. After our hotel reservation we moved to some stilts on the beach where we spent the last few days before moving to the other island.

A terrifying but wonderful experience at the same time !!

Have you ever been stuck in the middle of the ocean because the rudder of the boat breaks? Well yes, this also happened and guess how we got back to shore ?? Towed by another boat larger than ours with a simple rope.

If you are a person who likes adventure, I strongly recommend this place. Filipinos in general are a magnificent place and people are adorable. 10/10
