Romantic Road Germany | Best Town? | Camping and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!
Join us in this vlog as we visit the charming town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, staying at Campingplatz Tauberromantik, conveniently located just outside the town and within walking distance… maybe!
We begin our journey by exploring the campsite, which offers easy access to open fields for our dogs to enjoy. After settling in, we head to the main square to soak up the vibrant atmosphere with a refreshing drink.
With no set plan, we wander through the picturesque cobblestone lanes, discovering beautiful half-timbered houses and an abundance of toy shops. On day two, we uncover a delightful surprise: part of the classic film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was filmed here! Our quest to find the toy maker’s (Benny Hill’s) shop leads us to the enchanting Spital Gate area, an area not to be missed.
Rothenburg ob der Tauber has truly captured our hearts, and we can’t wait to visit again in the future.
