  1. Spectacular place of natural beauty of a small town!
Will add this location to my Balkan list of travels … coming soon as I relocate for work & semi-retirement as a fellow American, Sly.

  2. September is the best time of the year to visit montenegrin coast. Its still warm throughout the whole month, but theres five times less people and traffic jams aint that bad, considering that you usually need 2 hours to come to Kotor from Tivat and its less than 10 km distance lol.
Only downside might be that some of the places are closed since the season is ending, but still more than enough to have a good time and explore around. Enjoy your stay man, glad you like it so far!

  3. Hello Sylvester, Are you still planning to hold the "Slide in with Sly Sweepstakes" where the lucky winner gets an all expenses paid trip with you to one of your favorite destinations? Where can I submit my entry?

  4. Kotor is only slightly smaller than Budva; it spreads both directions along the bay. Dobrota, Muo, Prčanj are often considered parts of Kotor.

You can hike to the fortress on the mountain if you want, once the weather here becomes good again.

If you like to eat fish in restaurants go to “Bastion 1” in the Kotor old town, at the north east corner of it. The fresh fish is not particularly cheap there though, as far as I remember it’s €60-70 / kg or in freedom units US$ 30-35 / lbs.

  5. While it is amazing destination to see, what kills me every time is the traffic. And if you go from Lovćen/Njeguši via old road, its gonna be a traumatizing experience.
