Blue Jeans and Togas! A Short Visit to Nîmes, France
n this video, we take you on a short trip to Nîmes, the Rome of France, a beautiful city with a rich history dating back to Roman times. We visit the famous Roman coliseum, as well as other Roman sites such as the Maison Carrée and the Temple of Diana. We also take a look at the history of denim in Nîmes and its relation to Levi Strauss. Finally, we happen to be there during Les Journées Romaines, a festival that celebrates Roman culture with reenactments of Roman times and is the largest reenactment in Europe.
