    ⤈ WHO WE ARE ⤈
    We are Philly and Keely and we live full time in our tiny home on wheels Martha. After building our DIY home in a Citroen Relay camper we spent a year living on the streets of London before quitting our jobs only to be met with lockdown. Then we took our van further than she had ever been before to the very beautiful Turkey. Enroute, we stopped off in Spain for a few weeks where we experienced every van lifers worst nightmare, we were robbed and they stole all valuables in our van. But then we were back on our feet, fully MOT’d and back on the road through Europe before we experienced another vanlife nightmare… our van caught fire!! After the trauma of that we had a massive change of plan and made our way to Japan. We enjoyed a three-month Japanese Adventure and then got back to Martha for some new European Adventures. After an incredible three-month Scottish road trip, we have now packed up our van and are heading to Australia for a new van life adventure!

      No Philly it didn’t seem as chaotic as it probably felt to you. I know there’s so much planning and organizing that goes into what you’re doing and the fact that you remain cheerful and loving and adorable and hilarious and quirky and fun makes yours the most entertaining channel on YouTube.       I loved watching your chaos. Reminds me of when I used to travel. Chaos and stress, then it all falls into place. I was jealous to hear they stamped your passport. My only over seas trip was to New Zealand and my passport looks like new. I hope you are okay Keely. Was sad to see you on crutches. Anxious to discover the story behind what happen. It will be a long week.

      Your first scene waking on the sea front has given me flashbacks to my first ever solo park up in that exact spot. I didn't have loud music, apart from the leakage from bars down the road a bit. But the dealer who was doing great trade from right next to my van. He was funny & charming & clearly this was his patch. Little sleep was had with a mix of anxiety about the knock either from him or from the police and the constant sound scape.

      However, I felt I got a window into the life of this stranger living on the margins. For a night we were neighbours and in a different life he would be interesting to talk to.

      Eventually I did get some sleep & woke to a different neighbour when I took my coffee to a bench overlooking the sea. There was a guy sleeping in his car who I had seen selling souvenirs the day before. We also didn't speak though he grinned at me as I offered him coffee & he shook his head. It truly is a privilege to have these moments, though I had a full day of work ahead and could have used some more sleep 🤣

      Yes, one "industry" which benefited greatly from Brexit was the mobile telecoms sector, because they were able to unwind the laws that the EU had put into place to prevent them from taking the complete hand out of the British (and the Irish) when on the mainland, and out of the mainlanders when they went to Britain or Ireland. Thankfully Ireland still has these protection from Mobile telecoms and all the other corporate gougers, but, alas, poor britian voted to take back control, and by take back control, I mean give away control to the multinationals who will screw every last penny out of them, at every opportunity, and for as long as they get away with it.

      oh dear Keely… reduced immobility…. hope not from climbing the Eiffel Tower!!!! joking aside get well soon and you are always welcome to visit… / stay in my village an hour south of Tours // Quiet rural village where you're not allowed to scale the chateaux walls as did the English hundreds of years ago! Get better soon!!!!

      Soooo where to go next 🤔 Come visit us in Morocco… We have just built a place in Taghazout near Agadir surrounded by argan trees, donkeys, goats and adorable Berber neighbours. Loads of room to park the van..come say hi and let us show you around 🏄🏼👍🏻. @arganhousemorocco

      You're always so laid back and last minute, I have to book things weeks or more in advance and check in way too soon! I recognized Brighton immediately in the background!! It's such a cool place isn't it, I love a day out there.
