Iโm taking you to Kyoto Tower Sando hidden just below the base of the iconic Nidec Kyoto Tower and unknown to many, directly connected to Kyoto station through an underground passage. And at the time of filming this, itโs so surprising how little to no lines there are given that the food is so reasonably priced and rivals the taste of any shops youโd find at many of Kyotoโs traveler destinations, which is why this is has become one of my go-to spots after and before getting off the train with itโs traditional Japanese dishes and unique Kyoto specialities. Hereโs the skinny, the first floor hosts souvenir shops, the second floor has a workshop type area and the basement B1 floor is the Food Hallโฆ.and where this Kyoto Food Adventure begins as I show you some of my top hitters

Just ate there a couple of weeks ago on my first trip to Japan. Great find! My friend had the burger with the gloves. ๐
Agreed with an earlier poster, this was impeccable timing with us being in Kyoto just 2 days after the video was uploaded. This food hall is amazing and has a great vibe to it. So good we went twice. Did the wagyu burger, gyoza, pancake and beef bowl. Highly recommend all of it, especially the beef bowl.
Those noodles look delicious. What are they called?
I tried the nicks wagyu burger today thanks to your recommendation. Though it tasted nice, I wasnโt satisfied at all. Especially with its pricing. 5000 yen for a meal like that is just stealing in my honest opinion. Not to mention compared back in America the size wouldโve been 3x bigger. I wouldnโt recommend.
you always make me smile Paolo!!
Thank you for sharing the information
Thank you for sharing the information
I got a question!
Generally speaking, when you finish your meal in Japan, do you return your own plate or leave it for a server to collect?
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
The first way you said caramel is correct IMO ๐
Please stop saying "good, good" it's bad, bad
I like the style of Paoloโs filming how he doesnโt intrude on others and blurs faces.
Can't believe I missed this spot while I was staying in Kyoto.
Great value for the money!!
Honestly didn't realize you were saying souffle at first because of your emphasis on the first half of the word instead of the second.
I want to make โค with that pancake
Love your vids.
All the way from germany๐ฅ๐
No one knows about. What I despise is that news (News) and influencers take places locals protect and shit on them.
Awesome video as always Paolo. You are a true foodie you find and know all the best and unique places to eat and drink.
Thanks for another great video. When you got to the burger place, I was like no way he can eat that after all the other good stuff. ๐
This is literally just an ad for a commercial food court in downtown Kyoto…
This place was epic and getting away from the crowds was a super plus thanks for the great video. We have one more day here.
On the pronunciation of caramel, watching this video led me to do some research and I discovered that both the two and three syllable pronunciations are common in the US although the more common one varies by region. Therefore, I would like to advise using whichever pronunciation comes naturally. Personally, I am used to the three syllable pronunciation common in British English although I have been involved in the argument over whether to pronounce "scone" with a long or short "O".
Of course there's no queues. They're tourist traps.
Mochi good to try.
You on meaty side great!
How about you get served ur own offsprings meat!
we know now ๐
Hello japan i like japan japanese people are very good people
Damnit why did you have to ruin it. I love tokyo tower sando.
I pronounce it the same way as you lol. Screw the others
British English people will love you for pronouncing it caramel with the a rather than the American Carmel.
I wish it was still called Kyoto.
I love to eat! ๐ฝ๏ธ
Hey Paolo!
This video somehow snuck into my recommendation list when I was planning my trip to Japan. And we decided to check out Kyoto Tower, and OMG these pancakes are so damn good! Thanks for the recommendation!!! We are still here for another 5 days exploring what other hidden secrets this great city has to offer.
Awesome looking place!
Omg seriously thank you for this video!! Been stressing out about visiting Kyoto and maybe going hungry hahah
If no one knew they Will be broke within a month ๐
Can you please do a halal tour guide on Japanese food in Japan?
Love your videos โค
Haha, 'car-a-mel' vs. 'ca-ra-mel'. I pronounce it the same you do. I think the pronunciation is an American vs the rest of the world kinda thing.
Being from the UK and living in Canada, I of course pronounce it the correct way LOL.
That WWW burger you had looks absolutely amazing. ๐
No chapters on your video? Come on man, it's 2024
Adding this to my list for our Japan trip next year. Excited about all the hidden gems, hope you do more videos like this.
The burger is good but thatโs not wagyo and they donโt put much and it cost 32$-38$ depending on fries and drinks, itโs good but expensive and not true to the video quantity
๐๐๐Hello Paolo San๐ Greetings from Singapore ๐ Can you advice which part of Japan is best to go this November 2024 for 8 nights (first time traveller here๐ค)? Also less crowded, less rain and nice autumn scenery๐
What is the name of this yakiniku bento
Wilkinson Dale
I was in Tokyo this June and Paolo your recommendation of Kaijin ramen was FANTASTIC. This November I'm going to Osaka and Kyoto and I'm sure as hell to visit the two wagyu shops you just recommended! Can't wait!!
What was the phrase Paolo said at 1:49 with the "Can I order, please?" subtitles?
Always on the ground . . .
