The COLOMBIA Expedition – on this overland journey we arguably discover one of the most diverse and surprising countries of our world tour. To many, it’s known for two things: guerrillas and Pablo Escobar, guns and drugs. But over the weeks we spent traveling here, we discovered a reality that couldn’t be further from these stereotypes. From the Caribbean islands to the desert of La Guajira, through the forests and the high peaks of the Andes mountains, we experienced a thousand different worlds within this one country. Everywhere we went, we were met by the generous, welcoming spirit of the Colombian people. We were invited into homes, gave hitchhiking rides to farmers, negotiated our way through a 100 roadblocks, traveled with local overlanders, helped plant coral with fishermen in the islands… This expedition will take you beyond the headlines to discover the real Colombia—one that is alive, vibrant, diverse, and dances to its own and unique beat.”

Hi, darlings: I am only half way through the recap of Columbia. Gotta say, I love these "country" compilations. One thing I've thought but never stated out loud is how much more enjoyable your journey is because you and Nick are multi-lingual and can communicate effectively with just about everyone you meet along the way. You are never guessing at what is being said; you are part of the conversation and enriched by those around you. I can't go back and redo my life, but this is something I wish I'd pursued. Now, especially, in light of how small our world has become in the electronics age. People are essentially the same everywhere: we love; we laugh; we have trials; we share. This is what your journey brings me. Best…
🇱🇰🇱🇰..
🧡🙋🧡🙋♀️🧡😍😍
okay…I know I pretty much start each comment with WOW…but it's always my first impression. Mathilde and Nick I just can't believe the experiences you had in Columbia. The in-depth content of your experience is done so well. You are an amazing team. I echo the sentiment of commenter below…the ability to speak Spanish definitely enhanced your experience! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey!❤❤❤
Columbia what a beautiful country so diverse with the landscapes, the people seemed awesome.. That was a super cool video, those road ropes were crazy though.. You’d never get me away from the coffee 😂😂..
Dear Nick & Metlid, you are blessed to enjoy the world without getting hurt! In some countries poverty push people to hurm others!

These recaps are really cool the way your showing off each country. Before you get through them all I’ll bet each country you go into will be expecting one of there’s. You guys are awesome! Just stay safe.
Great! Vdeo ❤❤
I find, it very professional. The way, you both do not talk over each other.
I noticed another channel. Where the couple talk over each.
When you were going North, the drone footage showed circular structures. What are they?
The ropes… haha. The wayuu people are lawless and they want your money….
im glad you are documenting the ropes…..
Colombia is 🔥🔥🔥 If you are interested in the backstage, details on our encounters, tracks, updates, new expeditions, see you on PATREON where we share all of that and more! https://www.patreon.com/NextMeridian
That soup! Sancocho❤
Could you add Turkish subtitles to all your videos? We enjoy watching you.
Great
Enjoyed this a lot, and remembered some of it from the weekly videos.
Hi guys – I'm so glad that you've made a compiliation of this, my favourite part of your journeying. Not only is it stunning landscape, but also heartwarming to see how you naturally deal with, and invite into your lives as your travel, the locals instead of just waving and passing them by.
When younger I worked awhile for a world relief organisation, and I understand how frustrating it can be when supplies don't reach where they're destined to go.
My heart goes out to these children you've met and interacted with who'd love school supplies and bicycles. And I would think if I were travelling through such country that I too would bring what I could in the way of some of these things to give them who are living on such a subsistence level.
You are so kind and thoughtful, which demonstrates how what you give on so many levels is often returned to you in kind. 🤗
Wow love that you two are doing these wonderful recaps of the country’s you have visited . What a wonderful way to see extra Footage made in too a bigger over view from these areas . Realy love the way you two show us the people, beautiful countryside views , the food , and the over all view of these country’s . Thanks again for sharing your wonderful journey and travel memories with us all . Cheers from Steve Stott in Sutherlin Oregon U.S.A. 🙂 🙂 🌎 ( 🌏 ) 🍻👍🏼😁🥇🏆.
