      All of it looked stunning! What a beautiful world it is once you get outside the big cities. I loved the music too – really evocative. Looking forward to the cruise – you didn't end up saying where the ship was going but I'm sure it will become clear in time –

      Thank you for the nice video. The town of Mirepoix was destroyed by a flood in 1289 and reconstructed on the other site of the river Hers with a regular ground plan. The arcades around the main square are a result of medieval tax laws: the ground floor of the house was taxed more than the upper floors, so everbody extended the second floor by at least 5 meters.
      Mirepoix offers nice hotels and vacation homes. The 4* Domaine de Bize has multilingual hosts (English, German, Spanish) and can be recommended if you want to explore the region.
