Stockholm to Berlin and (much) beyond. Episode four: consequently, Poland.

In the summer of 2024, I set off on my bike from Stockholm on a journey without a fixed destination but rather a direction: cycling south.

This final episode tells the story of my ride between the German-Polish border and Gdansk, the country’s main port. Between old towns and country roads, I enjoy this Eastern European nation and take advantage of the affordable food and accommodation. The weather is now very warm, so detouring to the coast to admire the Baltic Sea have become a new priority.

Does cycle touring still appeal to me?

Have I managed to achieve all my goals, such as improving my daily mileage or spending less per day?

  1. Tack, tack, thank you, grazie Vlady. Another wonderful chapter. Your narrative is insightful and familiar to us fellow "older" cycle tourers. Best Wishes from down under.
