Visiting the Chateau de Versailles
The Palace of Versailles is one of the most famous landmarks in France and is known for its grand architecture, opulent furnishings, and rich history. It’s easily one of the most beautiful and luxurious destinations in the world, and a must-see during your next visit to Paris.
Built by King Louis XIV in the 17th century as a symbol of his power and authority, the palace was the center of French politics and culture for many years. The lavish interiors are awe-inspiring, from Marie Antoinette’s bedroom to the iconic Hall of Mirrors, which has over 357 mirrors and celebrates the artistic, economic, and political successes of France during the 1600s—1700s.
Tickets range from 21-35 euros based on the level of access you’d like, plus the RER train ticket approx. 1 hour outside of Paris. Looking to spend the night in their exclusive on-site hotel? That runs from 2000+ euros per night and provides a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
