My Eastern European train trip took a major detour through this war-torn country. Ukraine hit me like a slap in the face.

  1. You’re so right about the russian empire thing. Russians want to get it back, and the empire is not possible without Ukraine. But we don’t want to be the part of it anymore. We’ve already been there, and we didn’t like it. Never again.

  2. Russians say No Great Russia without Ukraina .They were a european part of Imperium .With Black sea , window to the west .Becsuse of Ucrsina they had path tobtheb Black sea , to Ocean in the North in Wladywostok and Murmansk.
    Without this they will never again a imperium Baltic sea from Petersburg and the Great Duchy of Finland

  3. Lwów was for the most part a Polish city, It was sadly stolen from Poland by the soviet union after ww2. So the city is kind of similar to Kraków because its technically A Polish city.

  4. The servicemen are probably looking out for men evading conscription.

    I get the impression that you lack a full understanding about the true nature and status of the conflict.
