Bittersweet ending – A gorgeous day in Brighton: travel with a German solo womantraveler in England

These are the last days if my autumnal England trip as a #solowomantraveler from Germany. I am so happy that despite a sprained ankle, I could end this trip exploring and experiencing #brighton . I loved the charming Brighton lanes with its quirky shops and colourful Cafés. And the Indian style royal pavillion was breathtaking. Come along and enjoy this charming #englishtown and its #beautifulbeach with the stunning piers with me, while I am staying at Brighton’s oldest hotel ‘The Old Ship’ with lot’s of #englishhistory and #breathtakingviews of the #beautifulsea .

If you want to invite me to a tea or coffee, you may do so by clicking the super thanks button ( with a heart) on/ underneath my video. ❤️

Have a beautiful day, wherever you may be . 😀

  1. Wow that really was a room with a view – but you deserve it! I would've sat there for hours too. So glad the sun shone for you in Brighton and that you were pleasantly surprised by some of the things you saw. Looking forward to seeing your continuing adventures x

  2. Lovely video Jenny. You definitely had a great result with that hotel room upgrade and getting to see the setting sun. Brilliant.
Yes the lanes are lovely, as are you.😊
I don't go to Brighton anymore (too many memories) so it's nice to see it through somebody else's eyes.
I can't believe you said you had to stand on the bus. Nobody offered you their seat? I always offer my seat on a bus to females if they are standing, even if they are young and healthy. It's the polite thing to do. Boo to those who didn't.
    Take care and best wishes,
    Lyndon ❤️
    Edit to correct spelling 😅.

  3. Lovely video Jennifer, you seem so nice, I’m pleased you have enjoyed your trip here. It’s nice to see someone real and honest on you tube. I live close to Brighton, it’s a fun city. Safe journey back and come back soon. Rx

    Best hotel room.
Cannot wait for France, Spain and Portugal.
    Safe flight home.
Cheers from Durban, South Africa. 👏👏🙏
Sorry I have trying to buy you a coffee but Internet connection very bad here and difficult to send you a coffee. I will keep on trying.

  6. Hi Jenni thank you so much for sharing this video of your day in Brighton I love it, I'm sorry with what happened with your ankle, you kept on going, sending hugs from Maggie and Me ❤

  7. Hi Jenny,
Brighton is a lovely place, it is full of culture.
The royal pavilion is beautiful and not something you would expect to see in the uk.
The Indian theme is gorgeous, I’ll say it again they certainly knew how to build such beautiful buildings back in the day.
The original pier was another work of art, it got shut in 1975 as they said it was getting unsafe to use. In the late 1990’s early 2000 they was actually on about spending money to restore it and open it again. Sadly it was set on fire twice and it was suspected arson.
Unbelievable who would want to burn such a historic landmark.
Your view from your hotel room was super, and that old lift was so quaint.
Don’t see many lifts like that now, which is a shame.
    Your chai latte looked lovely.
You have fallen really lucky with the weather, it’s been sunshine and a bit of rain.
We are actually having quite mild weather at the moment, which is great.
Looking forward to your trips to France, Spain and Portugal.
I really like Portugal we have had some amazing holidays there.
Take care Jenny love to you and your family and your doggies.💕x

  9. Hi Jennifer, Yet another lovely video💚 Haven't visited Brighton in years (Only live an hour away😢) Royal Pavillion looked Beautiful & your whole video gave it a magical feel, You should work for the Brighton Tourist Board! Glad you enjoyed your trip in the UK & Good Luck on your journey home & new camper van, Best Wishes Jim 🇩🇪💚🇬🇧✌️X

  10. Thanks for giving me a nostalgic visit to Brighton. I lived there for years, back in the late 70s and 80s, and it is truly a lovely place to live. You are, of course, correct in referring to the builder of the Royal Pavilion as George IV but when he commissioned that masterpiece he was still only the Prince Regent, which is how most British people refer to him – or even as "Prinny". Next time you visit, please go inside. Externally, it's a Indian masterpiece, internally it's Chinese – and it's, quite literally, fantastic. Here be dragons!

I hope your trip through France goes well. I for one will come along. I remember driving the length of France, and then through the Pyrenees into Spain, stopping at various points to wander round. It was lovely and I hope you enjoy it.

  11. Such a lovely overview of Brighton from your perspective. I have been there quite a few times on my way to Hastings. What an amazing autumnal light, which showed Brighton at its best. So glad you liked it.I hope you had a safe journey home.

  12. Hi Jenny, you make beautiful vlogs, I like them very much! I hope your ankle is better now and you enjoy the winter away from the cold weather in northern Europe. Best wishes. Ian/Hertfordshire/UK

  13. So great to see you out and about and on the mend at last, so happy you got to see something of beautiful Brighton and you finally got your sea views! Your videos always make me smile and cheer me up as I am having a bit of a rough time atm! Big hugs to you lovely lady 😊 xxxx

  14. Glad they gave you such a nice room with a sea view. I visited many times Brighton back in 1980's/90's. Hasn't changed at all except for the i360 tower. Lovely video tour.

  15. Such a great video Jennifer! I had no idea there was such much to see in Brighton. Your video really makes me want to visit. You filmed it so well. Glad your ankle is healing well. By the time you start your European road trip I will be finished my house-sitting in Scotland and England and home again in Australia, so the timing will be perfect for me to follow along on your journey. All the best. Del ❤
