Sano Limbung is located in Golo Lujang Village, Boleng District, West Manggarai Regency. The distance from Labuan Bajo, the capital of West Manggarai Regency, is about 55.6 kilometres via Labuan Bajo Ruteng Road with a driving time of 1 hour 30 minutes on a fairly good and smooth road.
Lake Sano Limbung is suitable for tourists who want to enjoy tranquility, as it was arranged by local residents since May 2017, this lake is now a new tourist destination in Mabar.
Here, tourists or those passing by on the Labuan Bajo Ruteng Road can enjoy the natural beauty that is still beautiful and the cool breeze on the roadside near the lake, there are now also several canteens to stop by.
The lake is surrounded by lush green trees. At an altitude of 750 metres above sea level, the air is quite cool.
Visitors who want to reach the shore of the lake have to walk about 58 metres from the road and go up a wooden staircase. The water is brownish-green in colour, contrasting with the surrounding trees. Visitors can take photographs from a wooden platform against the backdrop of the forest and water.
