About JetBlue (from Wikipedia):
JetBlue Airways Corporation (stylized as jetBlue) is a major airline in the United States headquartered in Long Island City, in Queens, New York City. It also maintains corporate offices in Utah and Florida.

JetBlue operates over 1,000 flights daily and serves 100 domestic and international network destinations in the Americas and Europe. The airline operates out of six hubs, with its primary being New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. JetBlue has codeshare agreements with member airlines of Oneworld, SkyTeam, and Star Alliance, however having no affiliation to the alliances.

About A321LR (from Wikipedia):
In October 2014, Airbus started marketing a 164-seat, 97 t (214,000 lb) MTOW variant with three auxiliary fuel tanks called the A321neoLR (Long Range) with 100 nmi (190 km; 120 mi) more operational range than a Boeing 757-200 configured with 169 seats, 27% lower trip costs, and 24% lower per-seat costs; it was scheduled for introduction in the second half of 2018, two years after the A321neo.

  1. Enjoy the video and am now searching JetBlue routes to see what the art of the possible is.

On future videos, would like to see more commentary on Oscar's meals added in for us omnivores. Otherwise, you hit all the points I'm looking for in a review. Thanks!

  2. I love their lounges. They are such a premium airline. I also love that they don’t interline with other airlines. If your flight is canceled they can’t book you on Delta or United

  3. Hey Dan! Long time fan, and Jetblue Transatlantic Crewmember. Your review is so touching and those of us involved in JetBlue's transatlantic product are incredibly proud and protective of the product we provide for reactions just like yours. Unfortunately we're seeing some changes especially in Core due to cost cutting that you may see in the news, such as the cold meals. But, hopefully in the future this will change back to the hot food options everyone loved. And honestly, the flavor of the cold food isn't bad. The curtain issue is something we get a lot. I personally agree. According to the company it's meant to provide a more open and "egalitarian" approach. Keeping the plane open for all regardless of what class they book. However, we are also encouraged to keep the front lavatories primarily for mint customers use. Can't wait for our lounges to open later next year and see what you think. Hope to see you aboard one of my flights soon. Cheers!

  4. Great video Dan!
Loved this one a lot! I cannot wait to try JetBlue someday as I’ve never flown them before even domestically in Economy. 😂 I hope to try their A321LR from JFK-LHR 🇬🇧 the route you flew today and hopefully XLR someday once they get it!
Cheers 🥂 my new friend loved this so very much! Also I don’t mind one advert but PRACTICALLY NONSTOP ADS for the Insta360 Camera I really didn’t care for! Plz pull back on that in the future that’s my only complaint!

  5. When I moved from London to New York with my company in 2022, I was in their business class but had thought about upgrading to the Mint Studio, but ultimately I didn't take it. However, when I boarded, I wanted to at least get a glimpse of the seat….and Bob Odenkirk/Saul Goodman was sitting in the seat!! I stood next to him at JFK security and joked with him that he stole my seat. We had a Good laugh.

  6. Hi Dan, I did some research and your food came from Delicious Hospitality Group. It appears this may be only for flights out of JFK and possibly only trans-Atlantic flights. I saw an old announcement from 2014 that LSG had a catering agreement with jetBlue. and still maybe used for other airports. Please Dan, catering has been a burning topic for me and I beg you to try and bring transparency to this issue, perhaps with Alex on your podcast? Like you I have had the highs of Lobster Thermidor on UA Business from HNL to SFO and after a sumptuous meal in TWA First Class LHR to LAX, the upper deck lounge, on the B747, had a deli buffet spread mid-flight. Then the lows of recent Lufthansa Business Class offerings. I would really like to know what are the true costs for the four class’s meals and what are the preparation, ingredient, and airline profit seeking issues affecting airline catering? Personally, as a frequent airline customer, I would choose an airline with simpler food of consistent high quality over an airline with fancier meals of poor quality! By the way do airlines have a quality control employee that actually spot checks the quality of food by taking flights?❤2 ODnA

  7. 22:33 – The reason the flight takes longer is because they fly slower! An Airbus A321LR cruises around Mach 0.78-0.82 (78-82% the speed of sound), while a more typical widebody cruises around Mach 0.82-0.86 (82-86% the speed of sound).
The A320 family was originally designed to be a short to medium-haul airliner so they didn't need to be designed to go as fast. It would be too difficult and expensive to redesign the wings and aerodynamic surfaces to withstand flying at more typical transoceanic speeds.

  8. What is going on with US flyers shutting the window shades for the entire flight (daytime espicially)? Never used to be that way and I too am perplexed by the airlines willingness to allow it ( for the obvious safety reasons) . What caused this shift in behavior? My observation is the Millenial/Z Gen flyers stared the trend- with their faces buried in their phones and hoodies pulled over heads.

  9. NSD ain't lying. JetBlue's MINT Class really does rock—even on its narrow-body domestic routes, where other carriers have ended their lay flat business-class seating. I cannot comment on JetBlue's international routes. But if it's like SFO to BOS, then JetBlue's MINT Class is a winner. Disclaimer: the SFO – BOS routes I flew were in the older style seats, prior to this newly released seat configuration that JetBlue recently rolled out, like NSD is reviewing here. The lack of a BC lounge is disappointing, however.

JetBlue's domestic amenity kit WAS nicer than other carriers. That's a shame that NSD didn't receive one at all.

  10. Your MUST reiterate that EACH JFK terminal is operated as an independent LLC, an NYC oddity, meaning that even a *A, ow, or ST paid F ticket can't have access to lounges in terminals airside other than your original departing terminal

  11. We are able to use the JFK T1 LH Senator space on UA F domestic tickets, but each time the T1 manager has to come down and escort us personally inside and he is NOT happy, to say the least

  12. I love flying JetBlue so much! I am not even a frequent flyer but they are my favorite airline hands down! I have their JetBlue Plus card. It has some nice perks if you enjoy flying with them!

  13. Hey nonstop Dan American Airlines just announced that they had their inaugural flight from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport to Brisbane Australia I highly recommend it😮 and it's awesome

  14. Pretty certain this is the same seat that will be on Iberia’s new 321XLRs, which will be my first transatlantic business class experience next year. Super excited!

  15. Imagine how it would be if they had A350s. They are as innovative as Richard Branson was in the early years with Virgin Atlantic. I hope they will grow and challenge the big 3 US Airlines. NIce filming, graphics and editing.

  16. On United, the washrooms are cleaned and sprayed with washroom scent sprays… I don’t get that on Air Canada. I love their new management at United… The crews have wash wipes… United cleans everything down… I was so disgusted with American’s washrooms… Delta wasn’t much better. I guess United Is hitting it. I can’t wait for my next trip on United to Melbourne, Vic, Australia…!!! I saw that JetBlue is rupturing money and that food in economy will be cold. I do love JetBlue, but things aren’t good right now for them… I do prefer United as a Canadian Citizen to my airline, Air Canada. I love the seat cushions!!!

  17. As an employee of a…competitor, I too must cede that jetBlue is a fantastic, consistent product. I always joke that when I eventually get fired from my current airline, I'll go work for them.
The problem is, they're losing money hand over fist, and my friends that work there say their internal messaging is grim, and has been for quite some time now, and it makes me wonder if all of these truly premium offerings are what's causing it. There's a reason the US3 can't hold a match to what the ME3 offer–money is no object to them.
Also, although jetBlue staff generally are pretty friendly (JFK Airport Operations crew notwithstanding), I find them to be some of the most unhappy aviation employees in the US industry behind the scenes (right up there with AA). I have so many friends who are In-Flight crew with them, who wish they could leave if not for the seniority they've already built. And my airline takes "jetBlue refugee employees" all the time in Airport Operations so… It's kinda like Dubai… If you can hold your nose and ignore all the behind the scenes stuff and just enjoy the product, they're great… But if you let your mind ponder too much…

  18. The dichotomy with JetBlue is striking. Excellent business class vs a terrible domestic economy experience. Recently traveled to Europe, flying JetBlue from my hometown to JFK. JB rescheduled our 10AM flight to 430PM just two hours before departure. Luckily, got a last-minute Delta flight to JFK. Flew Lufthansa over and Swiss Air on the return. Kept the JB return from JFK to my hometown. The lead FA for JB got red-faced and screamed at a couple who put their small bags in the overhead. Then, she cursed casually with the other FA while telling her why she shouted at them. Then, the lead FA walked right past a man with his feet up in the bulkhead during the final departure check. The whole experience was shocking.

  19. I prefer AA. You can take a shower in their lounge, and if you have IROPs, you can easily reschedule on AA or BA to LHR. You can preorder your meal, so I dont need to see the picture on the IFE. Also, the food on a plastic tray without a tablecloth and serving your PDB in a plastic cup doesnt seem premium.

The seat and food may be somewhat better on B6, but that is not enough of a differentiator.

  20. I’ve been raving about JB Mint since I first flew it in 2021. I was blown away by the quality and lie flat for trans continental. That was the pre updated Mint config. I still have yet to fly the new one. Also when I first flew them in my survey I commented on when laying down I couldn’t see the show without a glare or distorted image completely. Glad they updated this!
