Armistice Day 2024
Our first Armistice Day in France – Le Lavandou, 11th November 2024.
After a very moving reading of the names of the war dead, the British, United States & Canadian national anthems were played before the local school sang La Marseillaise. Veterans of the French campaigns in North Africa were then presented to the Maire of Le Lavandou and the other dignitaries.
A very fitting tribute to Le Lavandou’s Morts Glorieux.
