Rijeka / Croatia is a port city in the northern Adriatic Sea. It’s known as a gateway to Croatia’s islands. The city is less visited by tourists as a destination as the nearby Opatija is more popular.
We start our walk at the Monument of Liberation. We get to the center with the Korzo, the main promenade. This walking street is lined with Habsburg-era buildings. We walk all around the center and explore many side streets with churches, shops as well as several pubs and restaurants.
By passing the Mrtvi Kanal we end our walk just where we started – at the Monument of Liberation again.
