The Great Eastern Escapade: part 3 – High Mountains of Slovakia
Welcome back to our 2024 motorcycle trip to the eastern parts of the EU and particularly to Slovakia. This time we left Limanowa in southern Poland to ride around Pieniny and Tatra Mountains. The Tatra Mountains, part of the Carpathian mountain chain in eastern Europe, lay on the border between Slovakia and Poland. Both Slovak and Polish sides are protected National Parks and… are really smashing after all 😉

At the beginning the bends looked a bit like racetrack. What's that about? / I remember, when I heard people talking of Tatra mountains, when I was still a child, I imagined heaps of buckwheat, because tatar in Estonian means buckwheat and tatra means of buckwheat.

Great series, long time fan. Hey where is the W800….. MY people are from this area. I wanted to buy a bike the W 800 and tour is this bike appropriate? Your advice would be much appreciated.
