Flying a drone in Austria:

Real Talk:
Despite our attempt to keep our Austria Travel Documentary as authentic as possible, you are still watching a highlight reel. When editing, we naturally tend to choose the most exciting clips. You donโ€™t see the hours spent driving through less spectacular landscapes or some of the challenges we faced.

THANK YOU:
A big thank you goes to Visit Obertauern, especially Lisa-Marie Prettenthaler, for inviting us to explore their lovely destination. Additionally, we’d like to thank Sieglinde Suelzenfuhs and Claudia Dressler for organizing this collaboration.

Full Disclosure:
This trip was predominantly self-funded. However, we did collaborate with Visit Obertauern. They invited us to explore their lovely destination both in winter and summer. In winter, we got treated to 6 complimentary nights at two beautiful hotels (Hotel Glรถcknerin & Panorama Hotel Obertauern), a ski pass, a spa day, tickets to Gamsleiten Kriterium, an air boarding session, and ski lessons for Anna. In summer, the tourism board paid for our accommodation, food, and drinks at two mountain huts. All other costs of the trip were paid for by ourselves.

  1. Outstanding and breathtaking journey !! Thanks a bunch for the enormous efforts and for taking us with you again in your amazing adventure ! All the best from Morocco ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

  2. Thank you very much, Anna and Lucas, for (also) this splendid travel documentary ๐Ÿ˜ So much breathtaking scenic beauty, interesting locations for mountain sports or urban culture, lovely details of the rich local flora and fauna etc – I enjoyed of every moment. The drone sections were wonderful, giving literally the view of a mountain eagle. I have visited Sรถll in Tirol for a week, several decades ago. My children were less than 10 years old at that time. However, we did daily long walks in the neighbouring hills, or took a bus to a village or town near-by, and walked back to Sรถll along the hiking routes. Austria is one of my favourite destinations. Thank you for bringing lovely memories into my mind with your wonderful documentary ๐Ÿ’•

  3. I have watched your every single video. I have been waiting eagerly for you to upload new videos. I just feel one with you and your graceful wife along your awesome journey around the world. Your love for nature is just on another level. Also to be noted that you're socially, morally and spiritually decent.
Thank you much. Keep uploading more and more.

  5. The alpine Ibexโ€™ horns look completely unreal, like movie props or something, incredible, like something out of a fairy-tale. Thanks for doing what you do, you guyโ€™s are in another league entirely when it comes to Travel Cinematography.

  6. How do you put speechless into words ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Lucas, you & Anna have totally mesmerized me again. From the endless mountains, spectacular waterfalls, turquoise lakes & precious animals I love Austria. Only you can narrate because you can pronounce all the names of places there. Love the summit crosses & definitely respect the hard climbing to get there. Until next time be safe โค๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

  7. Most travel youtubers think of their audience as animals. I am sick and tired of travel YouTubers who hire a model to be their 'friend' and put her in every shot, in sexy outfits. She becomes the center of the video rather than the locations they visit, of which they know little and do no research. You respect your audience, and that's why you have my respect.

  8. Just beautiful !! what country, what camera work, what adventures, what sceneries, just fantastic !! your efforts and the skill in camera work is unbeatable, you two are the best! thank you very much again for inspiring and showing us the world! god bless you two

  9. A must visit country on my bucket list . Thanks again for sharing your wonderful videos and spectacular journey with us all your over landing friends . Cheers from Steve Stott in Sutherlin Oregon U.S.A. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ—บ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

  11. Lucas, once again you and Anna have knocked it out of the park! Austria is a gorgeous country and you masterfully showed us that.

We look forward to your next adventure as it feels as though we are right there with you two. Bravo and well done!

Until next time, thank you! Bill and Christine โค

  12. Dear Lucas. This episode about Austria was breathtaking. The second best after the Documentary about Norway (imo). It nearly made me drop a tear when you were climbing several picks and displayed all of their glory. Moreover, you shared your experience with the audience. I understand how many efforts it takes you to deliver such documentaries to us, so I canโ€™t help myself but support your project with another donation.
(May I ask where is Buymeacoffee link?)

  13. Amazing, as always. And this time in my home country! Grew up very close to the Thaya National Park and have cherished childhood memories from there ๐Ÿ™‚
