Nestled at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains, in the heart of Transylvania, I stumbled upon one of the cutest small towns in Eastern Europe. Sibiu is a perfectly preserved medieval village where towering Gothic steeples pierce the skyline, and winding, colorful alleys lead to sprawling, sunlit squares.

…. maybe to reflect the generosity of Hungarian Kings to invite the Saxons into the Kingdom of Hungary Transylvania was part of, who created this gem, and then lament on how badly it has been mismanaged for decades by the Romanians after selling out the Saxons.
