Alcohol is poison, it's just that smaller concentrations do less damage, which will take their toll eventually.
I never wear flip flops in Thailand
where you been sir
I like Mai Tais in Thailand. Wonder if that’s dangerous.
Underground cables cost more to maintain but of course it looks better without them
Is the burial of these cables only around the moat?
I've never liked timo wear flip flops, so i think that the worst that would happen to me is breaking an ankle with tennis shoes on. I've been here 3 weeks this time and actually had a reason to go near the gate for dental work and to go from Bo sang to Hong Dong. The 2 lane road 1006 is a pain to drive, whether its rush hour or not. I got my first case of covid the first week that i was here. Without all the boosters that i have taken, I'm pretty sure that i would have been in a hospital otherwise. I have a 13 hour train ride to Bangkok tomorrow, followed by a 21 hour flight to LAX through Manila, with a short train ride to San Diego, where i cross the border and pick up my car that should have a cimplete restoration on. Then, i leave SD Saturday morning for a 25 hour druve to Kansas City. Monday, I resume immunotheropy treatment. The waether for driving south looks like it is cooperating. Wish me luck.
at i would have been in a hospital.
I heard that the Whiskey given breaks down to Formic Acid and Formaldehyde in the
Body Doing so much damage
Bill , This bad liquor thing is extremely ugly , 6 dead so far
so tragic about the Laos poisoning , RIP to those who lost their lives must of been horrific pain as well. the lawyer was from London UK she was with a group of six from uk that was hospitalised I think not sure .One of the UK ladies poisoned but survived put out the warning to others in fb backpacking groups. She got medical help faster which saved her life I think she said. Thankfully she may of saved more lives for sure by her posting on social media. i think the New Zealander is on way back and survived not sure though. good to see the wires coming down. nice to see your walking videos and stories,
Bill , wake up , They are not adding anything to the weed , thats the so called old days , its very strong i hear
Snazzy new opening:) I'm watching this video sitting in bed with Bua nearby. Hearing what you're talking about, she gave me the skinny. Bua's Loei family are connected to the Lao jungle drums. It's dangerous for a Lao to be talking or posting about this. The deaths are a big embarrassment to the Lao government. They're blaming Thailand saying that's where the bad alcohol came from. Everybody know that's BS. But if you are Lao, it's best not to talk about it.
think those wires are a part of the identity of chiang mai also the exploding transformers 🤭🤭🤭
It appears methanol poisoning is a problem in SE Asia and travellers should be aware of the possibility.
Safer to drink bottled or canned beer
I got the worst food poisoning ever in Laos. If you wanna go just visit Luang Prabang and go back home
Getting those wires down is great! I had no idea there were buildings on that road! Hey, need a foot friendly sandal? I recommend these for more foot protection. I love mine!

I think Tennessee is the home of whiskey and Kentucky the home of bourbon. The Whiskey Rebellion, Google that.
Distillation of alcohol is quite easy, if you know what you are doing. In Thailand it is possible to buy everything you need, including a still, to make liquor. My wife sometimes makes wine using bread yeast from Makro and many people do it with no problem.
Women, especially young women and teenagers, should not be traveling alone (or in pairs) in a communist country. I would in fact not recommend SE Asia at all for them. I would never have permitted my 19-year old daughter to travel in a communist country. "But she's over 18." Sure, but do you care about your family members and operate as a caring family or not? No way they should be there.
