25 Years In The Making And Im Back In Modern Day Bangkok

More than a quarter of a century ago i first stepped out of a plane into a wild foreign south east asian city, id been travelling through Indonesia for nearly two years already and thought i was a hardened traveller but nothing could have prepared me for what Bangkok in the late 90’s and in my early 20’s could hold …. and now i return to see what modern Bangkok holds for tourism and the real people of one of the worlds most visited cities

So guys just to put this video into a bit of context, i spent alot of time, alot of time researching and looking into the subjects ive covered in this video, i genuinely wanted to make a bangkok video thats a little different hopefully to others that are out there and cover some subjects that are not always talked about but i feel are an integral part of modern day bangkok and thailand, it not meant in any way to shock offend or split opinion it is just a look with a lot of research at some of the modern aspects of a country far different than our own uk and hopefully ive manged to show these things with the upmost respect to both thailand and everybody watching …. be assured this video is just a standalone video and none of the others in the series are in the style or sense, Big Love everybody and i genuinely hope your enjoyed the video … just a last note most of the research for this video came from https://thethaiger.com/ should anyone be interested in looking anything ive covered or more about thailand

  2. Love this Adam , great knowledge you have πŸ‘πŸ™ my fella lived in Thailand for many years too ,he will love this too I'm sure 😊 thanks for sharing stay safe πŸ™πŸ˜˜

  3. I was there in 1986 and it was wild and full of strange things and when I got to my hotel the porter asked me if I wanted a Tiger, I thought he was talking about a beer, no a girl from Burma and it would cost me Β£3 per night, and then there was pappong 1 and pappong 2 I'm not quite sure of the spelling but the girls were great looking and up for it. I must I looked but having been told by my brother that his brother in law had got a dose in these streets I looked but didn't go further. On n the flight home I met a guy from NZ who was going to Kent to see his grand mother and he like me had spent 3 nights in Bangkok. He had 3 girls in his room at night for 3nights at Β£3 per girl per night, and and had spent more money in other girlie bars. Back in the England I was told by his grand mother that he had caught HIV and was very sick, boy did I do the right thing look but not touch.

  8. You can absolutely feel the passion in this video! I love the direction of the channel. Yes the car camping has been a laugh for the last few years but thinking of longevity of your channel, something had to change and this was it. Keep up the great work and follow your heart!

  9. I don’t know if your still jet lagged Adam but your coming across very serious, almost like your doing an investigative documentary. Lighten up a bit & just have a laugh

  10. Wow what a video mate! Amazing! Loved seeing you speaking Thai and enjoying the adventure. It would be amazing to see your wife and kids there one day going back to see how it’s all changed. Keep it up mate!

  11. That was excellent Adam, a really well balanced & respectful view of a section of life in Bangkok . Very professionally done , nice one. I dont usually comment, but this one deserves some respect. Happy travels & thanks for taking us along.

  13. If I am being honest, Thailand is not a country that interest me that much but this video was really good. Interesting and informative. Well done Adam. Looking forwards to more. I actually liked your more serious side (don’t get me wrong, I will always have a laugh at your misadventures but you did a great job explaining stuff). You really can feel your passion for the place.

  14. Loving these new videos showing the good, the bad and the ugly of Thailand. Beautiful people just trying to get by in life, thank you for taking us on this journey 😊

  15. I really enjoyed this episode Adam, it was nice to see what you don’t always get to see when travelling to other countries & cultures. I’ve done this myself when exploring, I’ve left the mainstream areas to explore the real life when I’ve been away on your normal all inclusive for example. I was happy to hear that the workers in the red light areas are treated as equals and have the respect of the local community. Thanks for giving us an insight into a world we wouldn’t always get to see or hear about πŸ‘
