Grief the streets at the beginning were noisy, but up in the town center with the market the ambience was very Christmassy. I loved it. So old fashioned and traditional. I chuckled at you being polite at the pretzel stand. She was cleaning and you were admiring! The cemetery was sad, so many brothers and some with 4 killed. šafter watching many episodes I used the transcript for the first time. Clever, and informative. Thank you.
Thank you.
Truly beautifulš®
I had the opportunity to travel there back in September for mine and my wife's 30th anniversary. It was a beautiful warm day and we had lunch right down from the Golden Bear. Thank you for reminding me of how fascinating of a city it is. It was great to watch your video and be able to say, "Hey, I recognize that place!" I've always enjoyed walking tour videos, but I particularly appreciate the slant to history that you bring to the format. It sets you apart. Thank you for all the hard work! Also, I am seriously jealous of you for getting to travel to the places you do..
Fantastic video
This one was great JD, thank you!
JD,
Iām sorry, but I prefer your old channel where you provided quick bit narration on what the audience is looking at from historical perspective. Overall, walk through video was good, just too silent for me. Prefer learning the history behind what your video taping in places I may personally never be able to go to myself. Still loyal fan. Cheers!!
How many Burger Kings are there in Berchtesgaden? 8 mins in and I think I have seen three signs. I love that you are doing these walking tour videos. Thanks, I am excited you started this channel.
Holy schmoaks! Were you walkn on peanut shells or wearing baseball cleats? Wonderful video tho my friend š
I enjoyed that. Good to get an idea and flavor of Berchtesgaden. Itās a very pretty place. Lovely to see the residents just wandering around and the village band. The captions much welcomed. Thanks JD⤠(missed your commentary though, especially in the grave yard)
Just fascinatingā¦really love these walking tours presented as if I was walking the streets my 70+ year old self without the fabulous information that you provide in the captionsā¦please consider continuing these everywhere!!
Interesting graveyard and tombstones. When you view how many men were killed in war, it is sad. The Christmas market was nice. Thank for sharing.
A beautiful part of the world with such rich history. The sheer size of the mountain ranges around you when youāre there is mind boggling!
I forgot all about those bells in Germany. Just don't remember if I enjoy them or was annoy.
Still a beautiful little town. Not much snow then. Plus some good food and a pint? š
Thank you!

I am really enjoying this channel JD! Robert Burton
We were there six months ago. Eagle's Nest was closed, unfortunately, but I did get to walk around where the Berghof was and the Zum Turken.
We spent five weeks travelling through France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany (Munich, Berchtesgaden and the Obersalzberg).
We're from Australia, so it was a trip of a lifetime and to experience the rich history of Europe was absolutely breathtaking.
Awesome! Subscribed to your new channel J.D. your content is always great to watch!
If you're still in the area there are great views of Schonau and the Konigsee from the little hamlet of Oberschonau. I stayed at Stoll's Hotel Alpina in June and the view from an adjacent street between houses was fantastic!
Berchtesgaden is a beautiful city. It seems the citizens were supporting the local vendors. Thanks for the tour!
Burger King! OMG! A beer hall would be better in that beautiful building.
Should've known there was gonna b a cemetery involved lol!!š i could've thought i heard jack boots goose stepping fot the first 4 minutes, im assuming it's a woman's shoes making that noise, any way great video I've always been curious of the surrounding area of the eagles nest, thanx again JD
I enjoyed how you held up the pictures from the past at certain sights.
Hmm…It appears they didn't need the Bohemian Corporal after all. Doing just fine. God bless America. God bless Germany.
