ITALY -Wine Tasting Chianti-San Gimignano-Medieval Walking Tour-Prima ship tour-NCL Excursion
Stewy, Emery, Robin and Marc are on the Prima in Livorno, San Gimignano and Chianti Classico Region, Italy for day 5 of our Rome to Barcelona cruise. Our ship docked overnight to allow passengers to have a full 2-days in Tuscany. We booked the all-day Norwegian Cruise shore excursion – ‘Gourmet Tour – Chianti Region & San Gimignano’.
We will visit the beautiful medieval walled-town of San Gimignano, an Italian hill-top Unesco World Heritage site located between Florence and Siena. Situated along the Via Francigena. Known for its 13th century walls and soaring Tower Houses. It’s one of Stewy’s favorite places.
Next, we will head to Fattoria di Montecchio winery in the Chianti Classico Region to learn about Chianti wine making. Our visit included a wine tasting, paired with delicious meats and cheeses.
