      The best gumbo outside of New orleans is located in New orleans River parishes about 35 mins outside of New orleans. A lot of slaves from New orleans settled along the river to work the sugar cane fields. Along with them, they brought a lot of the food culture

      Southern food always reminds me that Liberian ancestors are from the USA. The first gumbo resembled what we call Pepper Soup. Also, our stews and dishes always have multiple proteins. In addition, we have collard greens and cornbread as well.

      Let me say this….Gumbo is a BLACK AMERICAN (more specifically Creole) dish. Its not French, Native American or Caribbean, and while I do appreciate them focusing on gumbo, im tired of people trying to otherize our food. I have Creole descent and its OUR dish. The only "French" Influence is the roux, this dish is actually from the Gullah people of the Carolinas, whom I also have descent.

      Need to do UK pizza scene! theres a new wave of New haven/new york inspired pizza but with a london twist!

      Perfect drinking game every time Harry says mhmm or Joe says fantastic you have to do a shot/ take a drink, trust me some episodes you won’t make it through alive 😂

      Just FYI; when you go to NOLA; throw the concept of calories out the window. You are there to FEED THE SOUL.. calories be damned. NOLA shrimp is on another level. Shrimp and grits and a biscuit and gravy for breakfast is something I hope y'all had down there but just didn't show. Southern Fried Chicken is a food category by itself; glad you had some.
