Burlington Arcade is a covered shopping arcade in London, England, United Kingdom. It is a landmark retail destination in the heart of Mayfair that has been cherished for centuries. Nestled between the bustling thoroughfares of Bond Street and Piccadilly, it finds itself serenaded by a chorus of grand hotels, fine restaurants, and royal parks.

It is one of the precursors of the mid-19th-century European shopping gallery and the world’s first modern shopping mall.
The Arcade is a five-minute walk from Green Park underground station on the Jubilee, Victoria and Piccadilly lines and seven minutes from Piccadilly Circus station on the Bakerloo and Piccadilly lines.
It can also be reached from Bond Street underground station, which serves the Jubilee and Central lines, and is a 13-minute walk via New Bond Street.
Burlington Arcade opened on 20 March 1819. From the outset, it positioned itself as an elegant and exclusive upmarket shopping venue, with shops offering luxury goods. It was one of London’s earliest covered shopping arcades and one of several such arcades constructed in Western Europe in the early 19th century.
The other day I went to spend some time to see the Christmas lights there. And I must tell you I really enjoyed browsing there.
