  1. Hope your Christmas was warm and bright, Leon. I am dismayed that the New Year will bring a disruption to our beloved "Leon Days".
However, I understand the importance and rewards of a time of review of the past in order to plan for a successful and pleasing future.
I have always enjoyed ALL your vlogs. However, I will do my best to call to memory the best and most pleasing AND to consider new topics and venues you might bring your expert vision to. God bless you and keep you!

  2. Hi Leon. Please continue making video's like you always do. I really enjoyed all . The churches, your garden, your house, Paris your friends whatever. Every friday is Leon time. I wish you a happy healty and much love new year. Hope to see you soon. Xxx

  3. I am surprised at the criticism of some of your videos, as I think variety, and a reflection of what you do and see in your everyday life and when you travel, is what makes your channel interesting. Bonne annee Leon, and I hope you return refreshed and reinvigorated, when you are ready to do so.

  4. Leon, I have tears in my eyes as I watch you. Tears of anger that anyone would criticise your interesting, artistic, sensitive, informative, beautiful and cultured postings. Tears of frustration and puzzlement that your numbers have not risen the way that you deserve. I too am disappointed about that. Tears of sadness when I saw your sadness.
I cannot make suggestions on how to make your channel more appealing. Your choice of music has been exquisite.
If some people suggest that you ‘jazz things up and make it like a tv show, so be it if that is the way to get your number up. I will still watch you as I believe that anything you do will be in great taste and elegance.
I am now going to get some tissues and a cup of tea. I will still look forward to next LEONSDAY. . . . .

  5. Leon, I have had no issues with your videos or content. Rather, I found them very interesting. You do a mix up of content, plus you do your own research, filming, editing, and I for one really appreciate all of your efforts. You take us on journeys with your visits to places out of rural areas,in your artwork, and sharing your visits with your wonderful friends. I, for one, will be sorry to see you go but I will always wish you good tidings and prosperity. May 2025 be an awesome year for you. My hubby slipped on a wet step going out to take out recycling last night and fractured a rib. He was in ER for the night in pain. He will be very sore for a while. We went ahead with a visit from our grandchildren and parents. I would gladly lose sleep to see them, even though they are all 4 toddlers and girls born during covid. It was close to their bedtime when leaving, which meant they were all cranky and ĺoud.
I hope you change your mind and stay, but as we say say, you do you. You know what's best, and is it worth all of the effort for you. May your cup always be full. Best wishes always and a very Happy New Year to you.❤

  6. The content you ´r showing us is a nice mix and I really enjoy watching, have been with you since the start. The murals will be so nice and beautiful, big endevour. Happy New Year to you Leon from Sweden.

  7. There is some amazing talent in those amateur paintings. I wish you success with the exhibition. Also the challenge that lies ahead with creating and applying your artwork on that building in the town.
As for the unwarranted criticism, the channel title clearly indicates that you have chosen to live in rural France. Live, not just exist. So, travelling from your rural base to visit eg Paris, Versailles and Honfleur and friends and exhibitions is what someone with an inquiring mind would do.
I’m saddened to see the low subscriber uptake figures and understand how disappointing and frustrating that is for you when you put in so much time and effort. Your videos are uniquely yours. It would be a dull world if all content creators chose one style. As for how to alter your approach I would have to take time to consider.
In the meantime I wish you all the very best for the New Year ahead. 😊

  8. Oh, Leon, you brought tears to my eyes when I saw my name. I have enjoyed your videos so much. Meeting your friends, going to places I know I will never see personally, and just spending time with you. I will miss our Friday morning visits, but I understand. Taking a breather from it all will help, I am sure. Take your time, but not too long 😊. Love the ideas for the murals. So country and so related to the area and France. I would love to see something with young and up coming artist from France and from other places in the world. Like a showing and/or interviews with them. I will be here when you return.

  9. Happy Holidays, Leon! May this season be full of light and joy for you and all your friends ! I have really enjoyed all of your vlogs! I am here to learn whatever you want to teach us all in your joyful way! I can’t wait to see the gazebo build! How exciting for you! I also am in great anticipation to see the installation of the murals! How fun they look! Take care of yourself and enjoy your break! All my best to you in the New Year🎉!

  10. Oh, Leon, you are so multi-talented and we love your videos. Where ever you take us, it's just a pleasure to be allowed to share in your interesting life. Looks like you're going to be quite busy with the mural and your art classes. We totally understand why you need a break from your video journal. I think I've heard that You Tube has a resource that gives their content creators advice on ways to grow their channels. Might be worth a try. Much love and take care. 😘❤

  11. Hi Leon
I also agree with shabbymoniquebrocante…..I like your vlogs…a little of this and a little of that, like to see your neighbours, your area, your projects, travels etc. Don't change anything….😊Friday will not be the same without you.
    Happy New Year🎉

  12. You should curate content for the folks who want to watch it, and ignore the drive-by-trolls who only leave toxic comments behind on the way to the next video.

  13. Happy New Year, Leon! The murals and coming exhibition sound exciting! The exhibition in Sanilhac was interesting… of course, I had to find it on the map! LOL!
I wish I knew how you could get input on what people want to see from those who are not watching! But I am no help. Those of us who watch regularly like what you are doing. Perhaps a more important question is what do you want to do with the channel? The time and effort you have put into this has not been financially rewarded, yet has been rewarding in other ways. Do the things that bring you joy and skip the things that give you stress. Ha ha! Easy advice for me to give with the difficult implementation thrust upon you! I trust you will find your answers. Good luck, my friend!

  14. I enjoy your channel just the way you are presenting it. It is wonderful. Just because you live in rural France does not mean you are not supposed to venture out and experience other places. Don't understand people who don't think outside the box. You keep doing you. xxx
